About this talk. In this 33-minute talk, Kyabje Rinpoche teaches the visualization practice central to Vajrayoginī mantra recitation: transforming all perception so every sight becomes the deity’s body, every sound her mantra, every thought her mind. This rests on understanding the world and oneself as bliss and emptiness already. He then outlines the retreat commitments practitioners undertake: a short retreat requires 100,000 mantras, a middling retreat 3,200,000, a longer retreat up to 10,000,000. He covers the visualization in detail: light rays emanate from the mantra rosary at the heart, spread outward to purify all beings and transform them into Vajrayoginis, make offerings to the Buddhas, and return as blessings of body, speech, and mind. Directed at those who have received Vajrayoginī initiation.

The generated deity Vajrayoginī sentient beings are also residing together with it. So by if one does this imagination, then it is very helpful of increasing the number of reciting the mantra. That that what what everything what you see is are, you know, are are the body of the Vajrayoginī, and everything you heard, any sound you heard are the sound imagine that that are the sound of the three mantra, which is the mantra of Vajrayoginī. And everything you think or thought comes in your heart are the thoughts of the Vajrayoginī or the heart of the Vajrayoginī. So should have this imagination, it is because because we have converted all, generated all the entire world systems into the reality source and beings inhabitants into the.

And and also oneself is in the in the nature of bliss and emptiness. One is one self is also generated into as a deity in deity in the nature of bliss and inseparable bliss and emptiness, and everything, all the all the offerings and all the offerings, Vajra substances, and so forth, the deities and deities being are formed through the by the through the wisdom of bliss and emptiness. So all and yeah. And so everything we have done or the all the the generation of self yeah. Generating oneself as a deity and so forth, everything, they are formed by the wisdom of bliss and inseparable bliss and emptiness, and they are in nature of wisdom and bliss wisdom of bliss and emptiness.

So due to that, everything you sees are the are the body of everything you sees are the body of Vajrayoginī. Everything you heard sound are the sound of the mantra of Vajrayoginī mantra or the three Om mantra, and and everything you think and are the thoughts or or the mind of the of the. So it’s been set forth. And then one recite the the Vajra recitation the mantra recitation. And and it is practice is very important, respectively very important.

And and and so any the commitment you make, what number of the recitation or mantra commitments you made during the initiations should should put them at the least or the or the lowest. And then and so don’t stick with just don’t don’t don’t stick with the commitments or try to recite more than your commitment. And and so recite as much as one can. It is because this recitation practice has been considered very important, and it is one of the main practices of attaining, said to be one of the main practices of attaining the extraordinary attainment. So so and then so through this, one one should want you to perform a retreat called the short retreat.

It’s been Tibetan word is and actually it becomes the word like the practice of doing self initiations and So it is it’s just said for that if one has transgressed the root then No. No. No. No. To yeah.

If one has transgressed the commitments or transgressed commitments and wanted to give initiation to others and so forth in order to do that. So first one should become suitable. In Tibetan word, it’s here. It’s been set for, like, doing a short retreat. And and within the short retreat, and you what you have to do is you need to the the lowest the number of recitation of the mantra is 100,000, and then performing five pujas, and so forth and and so forth.

And so it is done at least 100,000, or on some others, or you can also do it 400,000 as well. So so by after all, by receiving these commitments, as well, one has to do a short retreat. So and so I’m sure you all will do the short retreat. So so so it should it should should do the short one. We should do the short retreat and the either short retreat or a longer short retreat.

So want to do a short short retreat then start the 100 mantra 100,000. And and you wanna do the longer short retreat, then 400,000 mantras. And then and then five pujas. And if you wanna do a middling one, then just do the set for the three years long of retreat. And the middling one is the the the doing the three years retreat, and this is reciting 32 lakhs.

The number is 3,200,000.

Oh, 3,200,000. Yeah. And then, oh, and and if you wanna do the longer version, then it is 10,000,000. And by adding it, it becomes 1,000 or 10,000,000. Yeah.

So on top of it, you’re doing, let’s say, longer version one, a 10,000,000 recitation of mantra. And along with it, there are the additional mantras. And also for the yes. You have done the 10,000,000, so don’t have to do the 1,000,000 fire puja. And and there are other some couple of I said there are some other additional So it’s been said for if you do a longer version of of of yeah.

Long retreat, then the as we said, the mantra was 1,000,000 or 10,000,000. And and if you do this long retreat with the practice of sūtra practice, then one has to do another 400,000 it’s called the accomplishment of sūtra practice. So which becomes the on the 10,000,000 mantra adds another 400,000 mantras of the three Om mantra now. And then the visualization during the during the mantra recitation is started from the verses at the generation self generation practice or self generated sādhana. Started from the at my heart, at my heart is the phenomena source, and goes until the little OM and mantra rosary blessing my mental continuum.

The visualization: at the heart inside is the red reality source and within this self generation sādhana. So we might take a few more minutes to today. And not only that, you can’t leave too early. It’s very hot at the moment.

Too hot. So during the mantra recitation, you have visualization that that the from one’s heart, the one’s heart, a red inside one’s heart, inside its reality source, a red reality source with a BAM syllable written. In the center of the mandala is the red lotus petal circle with the mantra rosary, like the stone called chura in Tibetan is actually very, very red color on bits. So and so it means the mantras are in in starting clockwise with the red color, and and they are standing upwards and has I mean, spread the lights with the five rays of light.

And imagine that they are the letters are not empty, all right? And they’re filtered with the light, and they have a five color light and with and very bright, and they are illuminated. So it is called the the the the recitation of mantra with this visualizing is called the So it’s kind of like the the vajra recitation, actually. No. What do you it’s been said for master has said for that if one does recitation, does recite the mantra with this visualization, then it has a huge benefit of attaining the achievement of the spiritual realization.

And then and also our and the recitation of this visualization and another form of the way of reciting is imagining that time to time, the light rays are are are light rays form that mantra. Then and that pervades all one’s body. And and due to that, it cleans one’s negativity’s negativity’s obscurations created from the beginning less of the time or from the beginningless time. And then the light strike outside one’s body and spread all over the entire world systems and inhabitants and which and imagine that the the the through through through due to this, all the entire world system’s been turned the faults of the world systems have been purified and becomes imagine it it has been formed through the wisdom of the the wisdom of bliss and emptiness and all the entire beings. And and also the light purifies the negativities and the faults of the obscurations of this entire inhabitants, and they’ve been cleansed.

And due to that, all this becomes or their body becomes becomes the Sambhogakāya, body of Vajrayoginī and their mind attains the Dharmakāya or to the wisdom body of the Vajrayoginī, free of conceptions or thoughts. And and this also, there is another explanation or another type of visualization is done from it’s done here. Like, the light comes straight out from the mantra garland and from the syllable, and which spreads all the entire world. And then becomes the numbers of Vajrayoginis. Each light ray forms one Vajrayoginī. And and imagine that that that the the the Vajrayoginis that emanate, each becomes a Vajrayoginī same amount as a sentient beings.

And and imagine that each each Vajrayoginis stands or sits on the the crown of each sentient beings and sentient beings. And through this and from through the through the the bodhicitta, they send the blessings or from the crown and bless or cleanse the negative of each sentient being and they transform into the Vajrayoginī. And this of visualization is also set. So and then, again, light rays from one’s BAM syllable and the mantra garlands, and then which are and from this, the light the light emanates or transforms into the offering goddesses and makes offerings towards the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. And Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, abiding in the ten directions.

And then gradually and gradually, all the emanation emanated goddesses and the Vajrayoginis of the inhabitants and all the and the three, the external, internal, and the secret messengers, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, so forth has been absorbed, and they are absorbed back into one’s mind or the. And then emanates or also emanates from the and so forth. And through this, they’re making offerings of imagine they were making offerings of external, internal, and the secret as outer and inner and secret offerings and such offering of such and so forth. And through this, one receives the from from the from the OM syllable comes the nectars. Receiving the white OM syllable forms at the crown the different forms of Vajrayoginis. The biggest are in the size of Mount Meru.

And the meddling one is in the size of humans. And then the smallest size is the size as a substance or atoms. And by this, imagine that one have received the blessings and so forth, blessings of the body. And then at the heart, the red r. The red r syllable comes forms the form the the speech of the Vajrayoginis, and by receive the blessings.

And and to this, I want to attend the speech of the. And then the last one from the HUNG, blue syllable. And then visualize the from the blue light the mind. So this here are the receiving the blessing from three syllables are the receiving the of body, speech, mind of the the Buddhas of ten directions. We don’t do the tune today.

Oh. We don’t we don’t sing.
