About this talk. In this 18-minute recording, Ven Wendy Finster guides practitioners through the Dorje Sempa tsog, or feast-offering ritual, which is part of the Chakrasamvara tantric practice. The teaching walks through the core liturgical elements: the initial offering to the vajra master, visualization of outer and inner offerings transformed into the pleasures of all five senses, prostrations to wrathful deities including Vajrasattva and Vajra Varahi, and requests to the assembly of yoginis, dakas, and dakinis for attainments in tantric practice. Finster emphasizes the symbolic transformation of desire and bliss as a non-conceptual offering beyond divisions of subject and object. The ritual concludes with offerings to protector deities and heartfelt prayers for the guru’s swift return from the dharmakaya state. Intended for practitioners who have already received Chakrasamvara or related tantric empowerments.

Then comes the offering itself to the vajra master. Oh holder of the vajra, please pay attention to me. This pure offering presented by the assembled circle of dakas and dakinis. This nectar, free of all divisions of subject and object, transcendentally blissful. Please enjoy eternally.

Aho la ho. Now the vajra master replies, Oh hail, great blissful wisdom, the great collected offering, the seed that caused the tummo heat to explode, this joyful, blissful experience beyond concepts, beyond words. Welcome, great eternal bliss. Aho maha sukha ho. Then we visualize making the outer and inner offerings.

You can actually visualize transforming the offerings into all the pleasures of the senses, of the five senses, and making offering. Merely thinking of just your name, eradicates all obstacles and immediately purifies all negative karma. Thus, to you, unsurpassed Vajrasattva, I pay homage and make prostration. Om, I prostrate to the Bhagawan lord of the brave ones. Ho hum pei.

Om, to you whose brilliance equals the fire that ends a great eon. Ho hum pei. Om, to you who have an inexhaustible crowning topknot. Ho hum pei. Om, to you with bared fangs and a wrathful face.

Ho hum pei. Om to you whose thousand arms blaze with light. Hum to you who hold an axe, an uplifted noose, a spear, and a skull staff. Hum to you who wear a tiger skin cloth. Pei. Om I bow to you whose great smoke covered body ends all obstructions, hum pei.

Om I prostrate to the Bhagavati Vajra Varahi, hum pei. Om to the queen of the female Ārya practitioners invincible in the three realms. Hum to you who destroy all fears of evil spirits with your great diamond like means. Hum to you whose eyes empower those who sit on the diamond throne not to be conquered by anyone. Om to you whose wrathful body of psychic heat can desiccate Brahma, Om to you who terrify and drive the demons and thus can vanquish all other forces, Om to you who triumph over all that can make you ill tempered, excited, or stupefied.

My bow to Vajra Varahi, the consort who overpowers lust. Hum, we make our requests to you, the Tathagatas who are thus gone, as well as to the various yoginis, dakas and dakinis. The yogi who enjoys great bliss, intoxicated with bliss, brings satisfaction to the consort, and in accordance with the precepts of practice enters into the union of innate bliss. A la la la la. You, the multitudes of immaculate dakinis, look upon us with love, bestow all the powerful attainments. Hum.

We make our requests to you, the Tathagatas who are thus gone, as well as to the various yoginis, dakas and dakinis. Through the stirring of the mind of great bliss, through the moving dance of the body, there arises the great bliss played within the lotus of the consort. This bliss we offer to the multitudes of dakinis. You, the multitudes of immaculate dakinis, look upon us with love. Bestow all powerful attainments.

We make our requests to you, the Tathagatas who are thus gone, as well as to the viras, yoginis, dakas and dakinis. Yoginis dance with enchanting, soothing movements. They protect us so exceedingly to please us, and the multitude of dakinis come before us and bless us. Bestow upon us innate great bliss. A la la la ho. You, the multitudes of immaculate dakinis, look upon us with love and bestow all the powerful attainments.

We make our requests to you, the Tathagatas who are thus gone, as well as to the viras, yoginis, dakas and dakinis, the great bliss which is possessed of liberating qualities, the great bliss without which freedom cannot be gained in one life. Bestow all the powerful attainments. We make our requests to you, the Tathagatas who are thus gone, as well as to the various yoginis, dakas and dakinis. Just as a lotus born out of the mud, great bliss, though born out of desire, is unsullied by its faults. O supreme yoginis, by the bliss of your lotus, may the bonds of saṃsāra be quickly untied. You, the multitudes of immaculate dakinis, look upon us with love.

Bestow all the powerful attainments. We make our requests to you, the Tathagatas who are thus gone, as well as to the viras, yoginis, dakas and dakinis. Like a swarm of bees drawing forth the nectar of flowers, may we likewise be satiated by the captivating nectar of the mature lotus and bestow all the powerful attainments. Then the offering of the remainder of the tsog. Om ahu.

Om ahu. Ahu. To the assembly of eight classes of wrathful governing protectors, I present all the remaining pure offerings, the nectar of the five wisdoms contained in the skull cup, an illusory appearance of indivisible bliss and emptiness. May all be auspicious for me to see my mind as the lama who understands perfectly all beings’ thoughts, whose speech fulfills countless beings’ wishes and whose pure body arises from an infinite collection of merit. May all be auspicious for realizing the unity of dharmakaya and rupakaya by discovering my own subtle, continually residing consciousness through the power of taking the three bodies as the path, the antidote to coming death, bardo and rebirth.

May all be auspicious for everything within saṃsāra and nirvana, to be synthesized with great emptiness and great bliss through the unusual embrace of the mother, the sphere of space beyond all conceptual divisions, and the father, the great blissful wisdom, the appearance of all existent phenomena. A prayer for the kind father Guru to return quickly. Please, Guru, think of me. Please, Guru, think of me. Please, Guru, think of me.

Glorious, kind Guru Heruka, we remember you from the heart. Please quickly guide us. We, your disciples, unable to be subdued by the three times victorious ones, are refugeless and guardless and smothering in the darkness of ignorance. You have gone into the state of peace and suddenly we have been left behind with no one to rely on. May your holy mind grow stronger in compassion and return soon, without delay, from the sphere of dharmakaya peace, as a wonderful supreme refuge, a meaningful to behold, a supreme transformation.

Guide us from the disease of sorrow. In devotion, we guideless migratory beings from the depths of our hearts and bones with one pointed mind’s request. Please quickly draw us from the extremes of saṃsāra and peace without delay. Hold us with your hook of compassion and never separate from us. Glorious kind Guru Heruka, we remember you from the heart.

Please quickly guide us. We guideless transmigrators, unable to be subdued by the great compassion of the Śākyamūni Buddha, are sunk in the filthy quagmire of attachment, experiencing unceasing suffering. Suddenly we have been left behind. You have gone into the peace of dharmakaya. What can we do?

There are no others to rely on. If your holy mind is bound by great compassion, please quickly return from the dharmakaya peace as a supreme transformation meaningful to behold. Please guide us from the disease of sorrow. We children, guideless migrators, one pointedly from our hearts in a single pleading voice request. Quickly draw us up from the extremes of saṃsāra and peace without delay.

Hold us with your hook of compassion and never separate from us. Glorious kind Guru Heruka, we remember you from the heart. Please quickly guide us. The sun of the Mighty One has set. Even if it is discovered that you, Savior, are the only one accomplishing the actions of the victorious one, we guideless transmigrators were this time unable to be subdued by you.

While being destroyed by the innermost fire of unceasing sorrow and experiencing continuous suffering without happiness, we were suddenly left behind. Now that you have gone to peace, we have no others to rely on. Because you have completed the two collections of merit benefiting others and attained the four kayas which spontaneously accomplish the two purposes. Please return quickly as a wonderful supreme transformation, meaningful to behold. We child disciples from the depths of our hearts and bones, with one pointed minds, request in a single sorrowful voice.

Please quickly draw us guardless migrators up from the extreme of saṃsāra and peace without delay. Hold us with your hook of compassion, and never separate from us.
