About this talk. In this 21-minute session from his Vajrayoginī commentary series, Kyabje Rinpoche explains the five secondary yogas of the eleventh yoga: eating, external offerings, fire pujas, tenth-day offerings, and torma-making. He covers how to bless one’s food with purifying mantras before consumption, visualizing the offering to the deity, then walks through the mantra syllables (Om Ah Hum and their variations) and how they function to purify and transform offerings. He demonstrates the embracing mudrā—the hand gesture of kissing lips—and describes the visualization of light radiating from one’s heart, gathering all sixty-two Heruka deities into the heart before making offerings to the assembled deities. These practices, performed with proper visualization, accumulate vast merit quickly. Pitched at practitioners already engaged in Vajrayoginī practice.

Then the the 11th yoga has been concluded by explaining the five secondary yogas, which are like the yogas yogas the yoga of eating. Yoga of eating and the yoga of making external offerings, yoga of fire pujas, offering fire pujas, yoga of making offerings during the tenth of the month, the the tenth of the I mean, yeah, month. And and then you’re making torma offering tormas. So these are the five supplement this is the secondary five secondary yogas and and and which which we normally normally performed. And it is the the explanations of those yogas have been very I mean, expanded very vastly in this in this text, but which is not really but we don’t we are running out of time or so due to that and it’s not only we’re running out of time and as well as these are the yogas we normally we practices.

So for example, So first, the yoga of eating or yoga of food or eating is the one first with the blessing of one’s food with. And then by blessing it, then imagine the offering into the pouring into one’s mind and and and with the with the purifying mantra of and then putting it into one’s mouth and imagination of feeding or offering it towards the deities and forth. And then and the next one is the torma offerings.

And and yeah. And the fire puja is a bit done during at the end of the retreat and so forth, other fire offerings. And about the the making the the offering during the tenth tenth the tenth day of the month is different ways of offering during the of one’s been visualizing the three mandalas or performing three mandalas or performing a one mandalas. So they are the only two differences. And making tormas are so and it has a vast explanation of the shapes of the tormas.

So but we don’t really, we will not go through the I mean, describe the shape, designs of the torma. So and so tomorrow, as we are running out of time, tomorrow we’ll go through the completion stage. So the mantra is the blessing to all things. And and in the earlier of the teachings, as we said, the way, when the purifying the blessing, blessing the offering, there are the four divisions, the clearance, purification, generations and blessings. So Om Ah Hung first three letters are the clearance.

Clearance and the fourth is the purifying or purification. And Ho is generation. And the fifth is the blessing. It’s it’s And the two systems, some said the meaning of the mantra, the purpose of the mantra is just said before. And another one, some other text says, Om is the clearance and Om ah is the purification, purifying.

Hum is the generation and which purifies the negativities and converts into the blessed and becomes natural. So so after that performs the mudrā of embracing, actually. So So which refers is called the yoga — my finger’s a bit long here.

All right, here. So which are called the the yoga of embracing, actually. So these are two lips touching up lips and the two eyes. And then here is of the kissing of the two lips. And then yeah.

So this is called the embracing mudrā. And the the who is who was Yeah. Who who was the the spiritual teacher or the lama. And by performing this mantra and through this blessings, all the unpleasant color, taste, and smell of the offerings are being purified by that mantra. So they recite the purifying mantra before offering.

And after that, I recite the mantra. The performing of afterwards is that then by blessing, then the the mantras, and they bless the offerings. So, yeah, so that’s two syllables. The three syllables, they they they purify and convert into natural and then becomes the increase. And then through this one, And then through this, the light comes out from one’s heart.

One is in the aspects of Heruka deity and then light strike the 10 directions. And then by yeah. And through this, it hooks all the entire the the 62 deities of Heruka are dissolved within oneself. So by collecting all the entire 62 deities of Heruka within oneself or within at one’s heart and then reciting the following verses of and so forth, which are making offerings towards the community or assembly of the deities. By by so do making offerings with these visualizations, then one had one had offered towards the very holy places and and by or the holy community of the the and the gathering gathering or the community of the deities and so forth.

So by making offerings thus, one’s practice becomes very effective and and also gains the huge amount of merit, very huge amount of merit in in a short time. There are different interpretations of the different mudras. And so that one is the the the earlier one which we have just described. It’s about the collection of merit. And according to the the the then he’s saying of the right hand as method and the left hand as wisdom.

And through this, So that offering is being visualized and symbolized or imagined like wisdom and the so method and the wisdom and then by offering it through the mantra, so through the mantra, the community of the the or the gathering of the deities at the heart is like making fire fire offerings.
