So can you kindly help to display the mandala on your left? Maybe Kentie can go around and help. Missus Gunn can go around and help. And you can go around and help. Think like that.
William can go around and help. Put more cushion. Put more cushion. Simon? Simon?
Simon? Simon? You wanna go and help? Hold on. Few people.
Maybe you can help. Those you already done before can help some of the our newcomers to So can everyone help to get handful of the grains, the jewels from your the mandala set there? Then fold the mandala plate on your left hand like this. Handful of the grains or hand handful of the jewels, then hold the mandala like this in your right left hand. Yeah.
Like that. So you place around your place your around your navel. Like that. Great. Okay.
So now your right hand, stretch your what do call? First finger. Finger. Index and thumb like this. Like this.
Yeah. Okay. Thumb, you place in the center of the mandala base. Then the index, you touch to the right the front, the corner. So you you turn anticlockwise up to the end.
Then you you gradually, like, clean or gradually touch and wet up to the center like this. Clockwise. Okay. So just do one time. So then now index go total clockwise up to the end and turn back to the front.
Okay. Do one more time. So, anyway, this is the gesture of motto of blessing the mandala base. Okay. Now my job, you just you just hold the mandala base like this.
I come and do the consecration. Okay? So this is just just to give you just idea. The the the actual consecration I will do. So now try to sit straight and hold the mandala at the navel, then you should think.
You can close I mean, you can if you want to close your eye or you want to open, it’s up to you. But mentally, you can you can motivate. From this very moment on, from this very moment on, I will actualize the the three countless eons merit, which is the full course to actualize fully enlightenment by doing the mandala practice. As like the past Guru Lama Tsongkhapa and ten direction Buddhas, Bodhisattvas. And and particularly, Lama Tsongkhapa, in order for him to actualize enlightenment, he had to accumulate three countless merits and used the mandala offering as one of the most efficient, most effective, most forceful, most powerful practice to actualize the three countless amounts of merit.
Due to that, he was able to actualize fully enlightenment. He was able to become Buddha. So as like the guru, Lama Tsongkhapa did actualize enlightenment using mandala practice as the main cause. Here, myself too, as a disciple of Lama Tsongkhapa, I will follow his right path and by doing the mandala offering, I able to actualize three countless eons of merit within a very short period of time. You know?
At the same time, due to the extensive accumulation of the merit by offering mandala offering, may my business, may my career, you know, whatever job, whatever family responsibility that you may have be actualized. You know? As Buddha has said, all the goodness after enlightenment, all the goodness, all the perfections after enlightenment depend on the accumulation of merit. So if we have enough merit, we can able to actualize all the happiness after enlightenment, including a temporary happy life with great wealth, great prosperity, great health, and great peace and happiness in the mind. And that very much dependent on the accumulation of merit.
So Mandala offering regarded one of the very forceful, very powerful tool to actualize those causes to bring success in our life. You know? And our ultimate motivation is to become Buddha, to actualize Buddha. You know? And by the way, we can able to enjoy all the happiness in our ordinary life such as no obstacle in business, you know, no no interference in relationship, You know?
And and, you know, no health obstacles. You know? And all those dependent on, again, the accumulation of merit. Like that. So may I able to actualize that so that may I able to receive the blessings from the proper ritual practice called the consecration prayer?
So you just motivate that, and I will go around and do the the consecration. Okay. Thank you. So now now very easy. So whenever you do the mandala thing, always very important for both hand to be filled up with the jewels.
You know, it’s another empty handed. Like, always fill up with the jewels. So whenever you hold the mandala base, the hand should be pulled with the jewel, then hold the mandala base. Then after that, three time three time clockwise, which is out turning three time clockwise, wrapped by the wrist. You got the wrist, isn’t it?
Rubbed by the wrist, Not by the BAM, but rubbed by the wrist. Here, got one nerve, which is called the bodhicitta nerve. By rubbing it, it activate the bodhicitta chakra at the center of our heart. So that help again to actualize the most effective way to accumulate merit using the bodhicitta mind. So three times like this.
One time, two times, three times. And this symbolize purifying the three delusions, three poisons of delusions. Ignorant, attachment, anger. Ignorant, attachment, anger. Called the three purification.
So during the purification, if you have in your life, if you have any difficulties, any specific difficulties, obstacles, then you should visualize this very moment that you are purifying those difficulties, those obstacles, those health problems or anything. Should visualize, you should think, you should express. The expression should come from the tip of your heart, not just expressing the word but from the tip of your heart. You feel those obstacles are really in the true nature of suffering and which have to be eradicated immediately and you mean it by the blessing of the Buddhas and the action of offering the mandala offering. So like you should purify like three times.
So during the retreat we do three times, but at home you can do hundred times, twenty times, thirty times, thousand times until you feel satisfied that okay, my problem is purified. So some of the practitioners, they use Vajrasattva mantra to purify. Vajrasattva is the purification Buddha, which is the emanation of ten direction Buddha’s purification in the aspect of Buddha’s form called Vajrasattva. So his mantra is Om Vajrasattva Om Vajrasattva Om Vesa Satoh Om Satoh Om Satoh Satoh Vesa Vesa Satoh You know that? Whatever purification you wish to purify, recite the Vajrasattva mantra then to purify.
If you have financial obstacles, business obstacles, then you express from your heart the problem, the obstacle, the karma, purify by reciting the movement mudra of purification three times. I mean, wrapping the wrist on the mandala base and chanting the Vajrasattva mantra and expressing from your heart the actual problem, the actual obstacle like that. So after doing that, then you do three anticlockwise. You know, three round in round. You know, again wrapping the same wrist.
So so this is the accommodation of the three countless eons merit. You know, accumulation of three countless eons merit. So by doing this by doing this mudra, the mudra which is blessed by the Buddhas, you know, the action is the way of doing this blessed by the Buddhas, it has a great effect through the activation of the bodhicitta nerve and that activate our subconscious mind and that helps this mudra to accumulate the most extensive merit which is the method of three countless eons which is vast merit. Let’s say that if you have a health problem, you wish to obtain all the conducive condition to recover. So then you should make a strong wish, strong supplication, strong prayer to make a perfect, if you need a doctor and able to encounter the right medicine and right environment so that they can able to purify all the sicknesses it causes and actualize good health.
And the same thing for financial problem or work problem, know, may whatever, like even to meet noblemen, you know, and to have a wisdom to overcome the problems, you know, and to gain the controlling power to able to convince others to to listen your your truthful voice, you know, then to gain whatever necessary conditions to to to, you know, come into your your way. So you should express. Again, it’s necessary to express from from your heart, not just any word. You have to feel it. So until you feel that you really, you know, like Buddha have really blessed me or I’ve already created the karma to actualize all those conditions, you can continue to do that.
So during that time, during the accumulation of merit, you can chant if you wish, you can chant any sutras that you remember, any mantras that you remember, you know. Or or one of the best prayer to chant is a bodhicitta prayer. The main bodhicitta, you know, to actualize within the heart of every single living beings, you know. So you can chant it all. You can chant Om Mani Padme Hum at your home.
You can chant refuge prayers. Whatever prayer that you know you can chant. Or you call the name of the Buddha’s, which Buddha that you feel most connected. To bless, to activate, to happen it like that. You know?
So so while doing the wrapping, you should hold grain or jewel in your hand. Then you release it when you no. You should release it. Accumulation. So then here, if you can memorize the four line mandala offering prayer, the four line mandala offering prayer, that is that is complete.
Everything is there. You know? So you can recite the prayer also or the four line prayer also. So it’s up to individual. So no need to stress up.
You know? Whatever Buddha’s name or mantra or prayer come, you can recite it. If you feel distracted, don’t recite. Just concentrate on the accumulation of merit and all like that. Okay?
So then after that, first thing, you need to put a hip, one hip like this. So some of the mandala base is very, very slippery. So it doesn’t matter. Just throw in the middle. Whether whether you remain any grains or not, doesn’t matter.
Don’t worry. Just pour. Just pour it and just pour. So after pouring, if you are using ring, then you use the first ring. Then fill up as much as possible.
Then after fill the first ring, second ring. Third ring. Then after that, the crown. Put the crown jewel. This is a crown jewel.
Wish-fulfilling jewel. Good. You can also do mandala offering without using ring. Without using ring, can do. Just do three round purification, three round accumulation of merit, then recite the four four line mandala offering.
This ground, adorned with perfume, the four line mandala prayer four line mandala prayer which is on the paper there and use seven hips and the seven hips are very easy. So Mount Meru. Then east, south, west, north. Then again, sun and moon in the center. So just go in the center, sun and moon.
Let’s say Mount Meru, East Continent, South Continent, West Continent, North Continent, Sun and Moon. After that, you scoop handful of grain whole here. And what you’re offering? You’re offering everything, all the wishes in the in the aspect of wish fulfilling gem. You’re offering entire East Continent, entire South, West, North, including Sun and Moon.
Means you’re offering entire universe. To who? To the Buddha. To the gurus. To the to the object of your respect respected.
You know? So then how to end? Pour back. Pour back like this. So during the pouring pouring, there’s one mantra you can recite.
There’s one line mantra. That’s in the So it’s on the white paper there. So how how I should do after pouring this? Complete. Your one one set of mandala offering is complete.
So this is called the seven heap mandala offering practice. Okay. I will repeat one more time. Yeah. First, left hand, handful handful of grain, pass the mandala base.
I want to purify three poison. The three delusion. Ignorance, attachment, anger. Not only that, specifically, I always get angry. So I must purify anger.
So But if you wanna do in group, just do three times. Let’s say all the negative karma, all the negative emotions, all the problem, all the obstacles purify. You know, you can think within one second. Entire obstacle, entire legality karma, I purify. Cycle.
After that, I need to accumulate merit. If you are doing at home, oh, health is also okay. Wealth also okay, but there’s no peace of mind. So I need peace of mind. Okay?
Not only peace of mind, but I want the the perfect complete perfected peace of mind which is Buddhahood. I want that. May Buddha bless me. Or you can say, bodhicitta, rise into my heart. bodhicitta, rise into my heart.
Or you can say, Buddha, or you say, So any Buddha’s name, you can just recite it. You know? Or even. Mentally, you express your wish. Physically, you’re doing the mudra which is blessed by the Buddha.
It has an effect. Using the mandala base, because the mandala base, again, the dimension is created. It’s it’s a it’s a advice by the Buddha in the past. But it has the it has the significance. It has the meaning.
It has the blessing by using it. So without using this and with using this, there’s a huge difference to accumulation of merit like that. Okay? So after that, I’m very busy. Yeah?
No time to do long mandala. I only have less than five minutes. Okay? Maybe I only have one minute each day to accumulate extensive merit and do purification. So okay.
I do seven hit mandala offering. So how I do? Four line four line mandala. It didn’t take even one minute. It didn’t take even one minute.
It is so easy. So like that. Okay? So I do slightly slow one. Mount Meru, East continent, South continent, West continent, North continent, Sun and Moon, I offer to all the Buddha.
You know? Now you accept it. You are very happy. I accumulate merit. It’s this first.
It’s quite crazy. Yeah? Okay. Now there’s a long mandala. It’s thirty seven hips.
There’s a thirty seven hips. So if you do two times, three times, if you attain enlightenment mandala retreat two times, three times, you are naturally will be familiarized. So no need to worry today. Just pull thirty seven hips enough and try to fill up the three rings. Fill up the three ring.
And this three ring again has a meaning. Some of the mandala has a six ring, nine ring. Some of mandala has only one ring. So the most common one is using three ring. Three rings.
It’s a creation of wish-fulfilling gem, you know, called Norbu, you know, creation of wishful ring gem. So we use three ring. Okay? Whenever we do long mandala offering, we use three ring. Whenever we do short mandala offering, we don’t use the three ring.
Just use the mandala base and seven hips. Okay? When we use, three rings, in fact, there is a number of heaps goes to the first ring, second ring, third ring. But we don’t have to worry about that. As long as you fill up the first ring, put the second ring.
Fill up, put the third ring. Then after that, after filling up three ring, still the prayer not finished, you continue to pour and overflow. Always should pour overflow overflow. And try not to keep like very empty or it’s just little bit not like that. Just try to pour as much as as full as possible.
So use big scoop, big one. So the small hand, little, you know, you need a lot of effort, know. So big hand, scoop a lot, hope. The more you scoop, better. It also has the effect of accommodation of merit by making abundance of offering.
Okay. Okay. So now I will show you the long mandala offering. You just look. You just watch me.
That will do. So like this. Excuse me. My my my my granddaughter don’t know where it goes. So Okay.
Okay. Thank you. So let me give you two hundred from this side. Okay. So I I redo again.
Yeah? If you have a break, raise, then again. Like this. Like that. So in the long mandala, there’s one section.
The what’s Like, the possessions of the gods and humans. So that when when that section comes, there’s one, say, human. There’s one the last part. When when when that prayer comes, then it’s the time to put the the the jewel the the the top jewel. You place the top jewel in the center.
And top jewel, you have to beat, squeeze in because sometimes when when you handshake, you fall down. If you fall down, never mind. You put again. You know? You replace again.
So don’t worry. I fall down, you put again. Fall down. Never mind. So sometimes because it’s not used to it, you fall here, fall there.
You know? So don’t worry. So no need to worry. Yeah? So that’s a thirty seven hips.
Thirty seven hips. So during the retreat, we will do one long mandala at the beginning and one long mandala at the end. And that one, try to put thirty seven times. You just count. At the moment, if you follow the prayer, it will be quite difficult.
So why not you just focus putting thirty-seven heaps and try to fill up all the three rings. Yeah? And in your heart, you should think that you’re offering entire universe in the form of wishfulfilling gem to the Buddha. So always remember that you’re offering wishfulfilling gem. All the grand symbolize wishfulfilling gem.
So in the mandala, it’s it’s good to add like jewels, you know, like golds, pearls, you know, whatever precious gems that you wish to add is also very good. If not, then just put like grain, like corn, wheat, barley, rice, you know, any grain you can use. And even, like, something which look beautiful for your eye, some music, you know, small music. You can put anything, horse, anything you like, you know, small horse. You know?
So whatever you like, something that make you feel this is something marvelous, beautiful, orphan to Buddha. Something like that. K? So we start. It’s okay.
And during the mandala offering, the grains will fly here and there. Let it be. Don’t worry. Let it be. Later, when you finish, the things around you, you try to collect it.
If not, never mind. You treat as a generosity because you have so much jewel, wishful jewel, and you share with others. You know? And some of the mandala practitioner, until they do, it’s selfless. The offering should be selfless.
You You offer to Buddha with a selfless mind. You know? So even though you’re offering to Buddha with selfless mind, but you have so much, like, worry of losing your grain, then again it’s contradict. You know? You know?
So if in case the grain fly over, let it be. And you should regard, you know, I’ve I’m such a, you know, be such a fortunate that so much wish fulfilling gem. And whatever gems that fly around, may whoever obtain the jewel, may they obtain wish fulfilling gem and proof of entire their wishes. Again, take that as a as a part of your bodhicitta practice. So like that.
But of course, you can collect back, you just collect back. And your grand, even like gold or diamond drop down, if somebody collects, let it be. Let them take. You know, if if your your jewels fall, you know, fall on the floor, before you take the other the next next next door, your friend take, and you shouldn’t say, oh, this is mine. This is your you know?
That also you take as a practice of generosity. Oh, so rejoice, you know? Now one of the wish, wishing, joy, I can able to make generosity to somebody. So so then that will again create the karma to bring prosperity because whatever wealth, prosperity in life is all due to our past karma, our present creation of karma also. And that karma is called the karma of generosity.
You you have to make generosity. And generosity is not much about physical labor. Generosity is the mind of letting go, the mind of, you know, and dedicate to offer to other. It could be Buddha. It could be sentient being.
So I like that. Okay? Okay. Thank you. Okay.
So now here, we should motivate from devil your heart by thinking that as like our most respected guru, Lama Tsongkhapa, you know, how he actualize the realization in the stages of the path such as realization of emptiness, the most powerful antidote to eradicate entire negativities including the root of the negativities, root of the defilement which is ignorant, the antidote emptiness realization, then rest of the realizations in the path that he have obtained using mandala practice as one the main practice for him to actualize those realizations in the stages of the path, including actualizing the three countless eons, you know, merit for him to become Buddha. So as like Lama Tsongkhapa, whatever the deeds that he performed in the past, such as the deed of offering Mandala offering, me too as his disciple, me too as his follower, that I will do the Mandala offering, initiate from this very today until I become Buddha. And I will consistently, not just sometimes do, sometimes give up, In particularly mandala in a group. And not only that, even at home when there’s opportunities or even during the pilgrimage, go to holy places. If there’s opportunities that I will take this practice seriously as like our most respected guru like Lama Tsongkhapa, you know, so that I can be the cause to enlighten noblest beings from the entire aspect of samsaric suffering, the oceans of saṃsāra, samsaric suffering.
So here you should express that man now with the power of the triple gem, Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, Guru Śākyamūni Buddha, and all the ten direction Buddhas such as Tārā, Mañjuśrī, Maitreya, you know, and all the gurus such as Guru Padmasambhava. You know? Then the then our lineage gurus such as he’s known as the Dalai Lama, the rest of the your individual gurus, you know, then by the power of the Dharma such as the mind training teaching, Lamrim teachings, you know, and all the aspects of the teachings of tantra, sutras, you know. Then by the power of the Sangha, such as all the ārya beings, those practitioners who obtained direct experience realizations, including the Sangha communities such as from Sera Je, Sera, Drepung, Ganden and rest of the Sanga communities in Tibet, India, Nepal, China, you know, Malaysia, rest of the Asia, rest of the Western country, all the Sangha communities by the power of all those three triple gems. And by the power of the dependent arising, you know, by the power of the dependent arising, which is the fact, the truth of the nature of every single existence which is dependent on the cause and condition, you know.
Due to that liberation is possible because the nature of every single existence is nature in the emptiness, nature in dependent arising, nature cause and effect. By creating the cause of making mandala offering, nirvana, liberation, freedom from saṃsāra is possible, you know, possible. It is definite possible. Due to the nature of the existence which is emptiness, dependent arising, cause and effect, the end of the samsaric suffering, the end of problem in relationship, end of the problems in business, end of the problems in health, happiness in our life is possible. It’s definitely possible.
It is definitely possible because the nature, all these phenomena, the nature lies on dependent arising. Nature lies on emptiness. Nature lies on cause and effect. Buddha revealed the nature of the existing phenomena in emptiness, in dependent arising in cause and effect is a definite teachings of the Buddha. The entire meaning of the entire Dharma lies on this view, the view of dependent arising, view of cause and effect, view of emptiness.
So therefore we must do this practice. And the reason is the practice of mandala offering is to create the cause to actualize happiness result in this life until the happiness of the Buddhahood. We are creating the cause by practicing the mandala practice is to close the door of saṃsāra to to end the samsaric suffering. You know? In I would say to end the our day to day life sufferings, problems, and overall to end the suffering of the saṃsāra.
Ultimately to end the entire causes of suffering which is ignorant and karma. So therefore it is relevant that we must practice Mandala offering and we are practicing Mandala offering. Not only that, by the power of our sincere heart, our devotion, our inspiration to practice mandala practice, our inspiration to have a faith and conviction in Buddha’s advice doing mandala practice. If we don’t have faith and conviction in Buddha, we won’t listen to do mandala practice. Know?
If we don’t have faith in Buddha’s advice, if we don’t trust what Buddha say, today nobody will turn out. Nobody will turn out including me, I won’t turn out. You know, you see. So because we trust in Buddha, we believe in what Buddha say and we have total conviction in that. That’s why we are here to practice the mandala practice.
Therefore we have the sincerity heart. We have the fundamental cause which is our sincere devotion, the faith. Our conviction from our heart also is there. So by the three fundamental causes, the cause which is the power of the Triple Gem, the cause which is the power of the definite nature of the phenomena emptiness, and the cause which is the power of our sincere mind, our sincere heart. Once these three things come together, whatever practice we do, it becomes very forceful.
So now, why we are expressing this is to make sure that we are truly inspired, That we truly should feel how fortunate we are. Should feel that this mandala practice, even for five minutes, one minute or one time mandala offering will change my life for better. Will change my life for better. Will bring liberation into me. Will able to actualize Buddhahood and able to benefit to bring enlightenment in every single living being.
Know? So like that. So with this, rejoicement and joy and happiness, so we recite the prayer from the this one. If you are not really sure, you can look, you know, to side by side. You know, many of the, you know, practitioner here already did mandala offering many times, so you can just follow them.
But then most importantly, do the three purification and three accumulation of merit. Then after that, you try to place the three ring fill up, completely fill up, overflowing by thirty seven hips, by thirty seven hips, you know, like that. At the end, when I say that time then you dismantle the mandala. So again here, if you are doing this practice mainly to receive blessings, then you pour in front. If you are doing this practice mainly to offer to the Triple Gem or making generosity to the Buddhas and to the sentient beings, you pour in front like this.
If you are receiving if you are doing this practice mainly for blessing or to to to your personal benefit, pouring. But you are doing this to make offering for outward, you know, something like that. But most of time, try to pour a bit sideward because otherwise, it will it will will it will fly, you know, fly over, something like that. Use whatever just now I shared with you, the way of thinking. Use this motivation, you know, use this understanding, you know, whenever you wish to do Mandala offering at home or anywhere.
So first we take refuge. Put your palm at your heart. Scoop. Now we do the mandalas. Scoop the grain.
Pass to the left hand. Thank you. So everyone did very well. So here in front, try to fill try to fill as much as possible. It’s complete fill up.
Even you are using only one ring, you just fill up. You cannot manage three ring. Never mind. But just try to make full. Okay?
Perfect. Thank you. Okay? Okay. Now we do the short mandala offering, which is the seven hips.
Mount Meru, east, south, west, north coordinates and sun and moon. So for that we do the prayer of refuge and generating bodhicitta prayer. During recitation of refuge and generating bodhicitta prayer at the beginning, that time we try to finish three rounds out, three rounds in. The purification and accumulation of merit, try to complete well sorry. Three round out, three round in, plus the seven lead.
Try to finish while reciting the four line, the refuge and the generating bodhicitta prayer. Then when we recite the short mandala prayer, the last last four line prayer, that time we try to hold hold hold at the heart level. It’s actual offering. You know? Can you just turn to the back?
Okay. Why not before we do, just to understand, just have some rough idea, we just read one time so that we have some idea that what’s going on. Okay? Okay. Read loudly because my English cannot read.
Okay. Taking refuge in bodhicitta. I go for refuge until I’m enlightened to the Buddha, the Dharma, and the supreme assembly. By my practice of giving and other perfections, may I become Buddha to benefit all sentient beings of the long mandala offering? Let us offer to Buddha field, Om Vajra Bhumi Ah Hum, mighty golden ground.
Om Vajra Rekhe Ah Hum. Outside, it is severed by the surrounding wall. In the center of the rich precious king of the mountains, In the east, Videha land. Southern, Jambudvipa, and the four continents are the precious mountain, the wish-granting tree, wish-granting cow, and the harvest unsown. The precious jewel, the precious jewel, precious queen, the precious minister, a precious elephant, and precious horse, a precious general, and a great treasure vase.
Lady of grace, lady of garlands, lady of song, lady of dance, lady of flowers, lady of incense. And their divine light. I shall offer all of these. Please accept them with compassion for the sake of migrating beings. Having accepted them, please, out of your great compassion, grant your inspiration to me and all all migrating beings.
This gown, along with the perfume smell of incense, adorned with flowers, the supreme jewel bodhicitta that I do arise. May the Buddhas be pleased. Due to the merit of the virtuous action, may I fully attain the enlightenment state of the Guru Buddha and lead all beings without exception into the enlightenment. Okay. So the short mandala of the seven heap mandala of thing, we are doing the refuge and bodhicitta prayer first.
After that, we go to the the the the last section. This ground attend with the perfume, so that the pore line. So together with the conclusion, So we’re going to accumulate that now. And so turn the page and do the in the written pattern. So now no need to use the rings.
So just like this. One two three four five six seven. Open. Say that again. One two three.
One two three. One two three. Four five six seven. Open. Okay.
So you got it? One two three. Two three. One two three. Accumulation.
In the center, the Mount Meru. One two three four five six. Ten o four. Complete. Okay.
So now we make dedication. We put our palm. You just lift your mandala on your left, putting your palm together at the heart. We dedicate in bodhicitta by thinking in your heart, by following the right path which is shown by all the past Buddhas, in particularly our most respected Guru, Lama Tsongkhapa, show the path of practicing the mandala offering to actualize the three countless eons merit, to actualize Buddhahood. So therefore, how fortunate that we are, that have the opportunity, have the karma, have the merit to have such a wonderful opportunity to do this marvelous practice.
It is definite that we have purified immense of past negative karmas and it is definite that we have accumulated extensive merit which is cause for happiness for oneself, one’s family members and the rest of the sentient beings in this world and also the rest of the sentient beings in other universe. The merit is a cause to liberation for all the numberless beings. And in particularly, whatever merit that we are accumulating through this mandala retreat or mandala practice, may the merit be the complete cause to actualize the ultimate happiness within myself, within all the family members, and within all the friends, and within all the human being, within all the sentient beings. And may this maybe be the complete cause to fulfill all your, you know, marvelous virtual projects that you may have in your family, in your company, in your everywhere, whatever the the virtual projects you may have to actualize instantly, you know, this mandala practice become the cause for that. And whatever accumulation of merit through this mandala practice become cause.
Mhmm. All our gurus, you know, such all the other holy gurus, whatever holy projects, virtuous projects to benefit fathers may have to actualize and standing. And also dedicate them to whatever merit that we’ve accumulated through this practice with the complete cause. Los Angeles Center, LDC, then Kasih Hospice, and then KGC. Then also in in Malacca, you know, with the help of Mrs. Gan family and Irene here who is today here for the mandala class.
You know, there’s already, you know, established the seed of Lamrim practice. Start you know, already established the seat for Lamrim study. You know? So may may whatever Lama Zopa Rinpoche wish to actualize, you know, extensive Dharma study not only in Malacca, but in Ipoh, in every part of the Malaysia cities they actualize instantly without any obstacle. May this merit be the complete cause to LDC, to be the platform to bring know, a numberless benefit not only to Malaysians, but the rest of the world beings.
May LDC become the root cause to, you know, reveal the peace in the world, by the blessing of the Buddha Dharma, through the transformation of one’s individual’s negative mind into a positive, and able to enlighten every single living being into the fullest state of enlightenment. Then whatever the LDC projects, we have initiated many many projects, virtual projects, order to members who have such a wonderful karma connection with our guru like Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Lama Zopa, Lama Zopa, you know, also the karma connection to myself here. And those whoever directly or indirectly connected to all of us, to the center, to have every single corner, you know, single corner we look, every single corner we touch is opportunity to accumulate merit. So there’s so many projects out there such as, you know, one of the project to expand the Gompa, we complete it. You know, it’s wonderful.
So this cost expanding the Gompa cost more people to connect to dharma. You look at so many new people today attended. Why? See, there there there must be some cost. You know?
So one of the cost is also expanding gumba. And this gumba is not enough. This is too small. You know, even this is too small. We should expand at least one thousand people can able to host.
And then that also could be small. You know? So like that. So then we just today initiated to some new projects around the pavilion. You know, there’s hollow space below to put prayer wheels.
You know, like when you go to Nepal, like Boudhanath Stūpa, everywhere in Tibet, the prayer will, you know, the, you know, like fifteen inch prayer will contain immense mantra, you know, so you can turn. So it’s just today, just just pop up in the mind. So to to actualize maybe, I don’t know, sixty, seventy or more prayer wheels. Then also on top, the seat, nobody’s sitting. We actually created for people to sit, it’s too hot.
So I thought to put a stupa around, you know, all completely filled with the stupas, about two feet to three feet stupas. And the stupas contain the four dharmadhatu relics mantra inside. You know? So if one person, even one animal, like, you know, you are you are if you have a dog at at home, bring here to circumambulate. You know?
And if you see the insect, let them bring around, you know, so much merit, unbelievable merit that will come by the power of the mantras. So so like that. So slowly, you know, entire aspect will fill up with the with the holy objects and, you know, you know, the relics and, you know, the the opportunities to accumulate merit. The first priority, the members will come. You know?
Then not only that, whoever come to connect to to LDC. Yes. So so many, many projects. So may this Mandala offering be the complete cause to actualize instantly, you know, as soon as possible so that since the life is, you know, since the life is very fragile fragile, that is certain, time of death is uncertain. You know?
Our life can be end anytime. So therefore, if if those holy projects are delayed, many people miss the opportunity to accumulate merit, you know, create the cause for enlightenment. So therefore, you know, actually like all those projects. And not only that, Kasih Hospice, you know, so much marvelous, you know, works with the by the blessing of you know? So before go to, yeah, Before go to LDC, you know, at the present, you know, the director, you know, Eric Gan and his team, escrow members, and all you volunteers, you know, and your senior members, new members, You know, all of you have put, you know, immense of effort, you know, and timeless efforts to to make this center such a beautiful.
You know? So, therefore, whatever merit that we accumulate to to bring long life to you all and prosperity, good health, and, you know, increase the such an inspiration, you know, more and more so that you can able to serve with the Dharma and, you know, in in vast space like that. So that’s similar to Kasih Hospice with by the lead of again, before go to Kasih, all the path directors all the path directors started with Hui and her team. Then after that, Wasela and her team. After that, her team.
Then after that, and her team. Then doctor doctor Lee and her team. After that, then and her team. After that, then Aaron Gan and her team his team. You know?
So everyone, you know, they they contribute, you know, their best ability to to the center. So we rejoice their merit. We rejoice their effort. You know? We thank their effort, especially me on behalf of FPMT, on behalf of my guru, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, and on behalf of all my most dear brother sister you all, I thank both of my heart to Eric Gan and the rest of the past directors.
And same goes to Kasih Hospice, you know, led by doctor Peppi and her team for many, many years. You know? The Kaseh Hospice, they are so beneficial for for for so many people, you know, through supporting, you know, well dying and well living. So therefore, all those leaders have a long life, good health, prosperity, and whatever wishes, may they have according with our will to actualize. Then also lately, Triang.
In Pahang. My my last visit, I become busy body. So suggest to build hundred and eight pieces stupas, life size stupas. No. No.
One story high stupas, hundred and eight stupas, prayer wheel. They also set up a nunnery, monastery there, retreat hut, you know. So so many, many holy objects. You know, that last time, initiated the bill, hundred and hundred over fifty high medicine Buddha statues. So all those projects will actualize one a.
So whatever projects that we initiated, we actualize instantly without any obstacle and without anything. They just attended the the center. So whatever dharma activities whatever dharma activities, you know, they flourish according with which. You know? And not only that, in Malacca, you know, Irene is one of the very you know, Irene is here in front of us.
So she’s very she has so much heart to establish Lamrim study, you know, and with the help of missus Gan and family there. So long time ago, we visited there. There’s so many people who took refuge, and I see so much interest in Dharma. So then the group last year went to Nepal. Advised, it’s very urgent to have a study group, a center for study group, center.
You know? Not only that’s for Ipoh and rest of the other, including Rawang. It’s it’s caused everywhere. Malaysia is so big. So, you know, so may whatever all those beneficial platform to sentient beings to actualize as soon as possible, you know, without much delay.
You know? So we dedicate that. Then most importantly, dedicate to your family members. You know? One of you attending this group session of such a wonderful practice is one of the most forceful puja, most forceful practice, you know, since you have a relation with your family, bloody relation or or, you know, a relation, whatever prayer you make, whatever merit you accompany and dedicate for their well-being has become most most effective, most forceful.
It’s more forceful than, you know, large number of sangha during the prayer. You know? You your family member do prayer for the family member. It’s one of the most forceful. You know?
Then not only that, if you have established guru disciple relationship, then the gurus and sangha pray is very forceful. So here, whatever merit you accumulate through this mandala offering, please do dedicate to your family members. You know? Some, they need good health. You know?
Some, they have problem with business to, you know, to to share the problem with business. So whatever, you see. So therefore, let’s say the husbands are all busy, you know, in the business trips, busy, then the wife’s, you know, free at home, then better come and help the husband accumulate merit because the husband no time to to accumulate merit. You know? So the wives come and do such kind of practice.
If the wives are busy, then husband, they come. And if both are busy, then the children you send the children. You know. Or at least if there’s a space, then you come and you accumulate merit with them. Because the group energy, the group prayer, it has at least seventy five percent more powerful than individual alone praying.
In in a group prayer, it’s much more forceful, about seventy percent forceful than praying yourself alone at home. You see? So that’s the whole reason why I need sender to people to come together and make prayer and make and make prayer. You know? Otherwise, no need to set up a center.
So much so much hardship. You know? So so so much difficult. You see? The reason why you need to set a center is for group to come together and make prayer for world peace and happiness for the family members.
You know? And in particular to obtain enlightenment. So you see? So you so you are visiting to center is worthwhile. So not not wasting time worthwhile even though from a very busy time that you have to spare time to come to center, but you’re not wasting time.
You know? And this is not just I’m just create by my own. It’s not not not that. You know? I’m talking based on what what Buddhist scripture say.
You know? You know? What what Buddhist scripture say the benefit of group prayer and making prayer with so much this conducive environment. You know, whatever benefit that I I have learned from the Buddhadharma and hear from our respected gurus such as like, so I’m just passing the message to everyone. You know?
So like that. Okay. So thank you. So now for the for the newcomers, for the first time mandala offering, when you when you when you how to say it? When you oh, okay.
After that. So when you pack the mandala offering, there’s a there’s a way to pack so that even though you are not doing the mandala offering every day, but that will help to, you know, continue to do the mandala offering by one of the way of packing the mandala. So similar as before, pack. We do the three purification, three accumulation. After that, after down.
Hold to here. Put the three ring inside. Yeah. Then either you or either you imagine. Either you imagine or you that you are making the entire universe as a mandala offering to to to Buddha.
So do the thirty-seven heaps. Thirty seven feet. Pour the thirty seven feet. You know? Okay.
So after pouring it, after complete, and you just put the jewel in the center, then you will offer as before like this. So then chant the four line prayer. But no need to do the last mantra, we don’t have to chant. The last mantra, you chant when next time when you have opportunity to do mandala offering, you dismantle that time reciting Idam Guru. Means from now till next week, you are constant offering.
You are constant making offering. So when you go back, you put on the altar, you put on the table, you are making constant mandala offering to the Buddha like that. So that’s one of the quicker one of the way to accumulate merit. So no need to see. Now put in your your your bag.
If the jewel falling falling here and there, don’t worry. Just just put, and you you tie. Like this. Like this. Tie.
So the after that, fall like this. So you put instead of going out or you can go in. It’s easier. So, yeah, you pass the string to come here. Pass.
Yeah. So I I wish that slowly, you know, led by our the Wanto, Wanto, leader, admin whenever he’s available or or he can assign somebody who’s familiar with the mandala practice then in future at least once a week or once a month, then you can do the mandala retreat in the center. So even when I’m not leading, you know, it’s for your your own benefit. You know, whether I’m around or not, it doesn’t matter. As long as there’s a mandala retreat, if you have time, you pass by, and you do the retreat.
And try to accumulate hundred thousand times accumulation of doing mandala retreat. Hundred and ten thousand. Hundred and ten thousand. Once you complete that, you complete one of the mandala practice which is regarded very one of great achievement as a Buddhist practitioner, you know, as a Buddhist practitioner to accomplish hundred and ten thousand mandala offering. They regarded very great achievement.
You know? So in in in future, it’s depend on the leader’s time or if somebody else can lead. You know? So have a Mandala retreat like that. Okay?
So then so now we do the dedicated dedication prayer. Thank you. So we relocated the library. So library is at the back of this throne inside. You know, there’s room.
So library inside there. So there’s a chair. There’s, you know, a table and a bookshelf inside. So in future, if any of you want to, you know, read dharma books, so you just go inside there and relax and read books like that. And also any of your children’s during your during your prayer session, if the children need to do homework, use the library to do homework also, You know, during the sessions, during the teachings, during the pujas, if, you know, if you have to if you need to bring children along, they need time to do homework.
You can use the library inside there with aircon and use for homework. You know? Then the dharma shop relocated. Dharma shop is inside there, the red red door. So later you can have a look.
Yeah? Then our office, where right there our officer, William, standing. The office is already Aloked. And next time, the the washrooms have to go from from from from outside, you know, there’s a washroom at the back, and there will be kitchen also at the back. So hopefully in future, if any of you because all of you volunteer, all of you, you know, after so much hard work at your own family work work, then come to center and do a lot of work.
So you can you can make your own food. You can cook yourself, you know. You can prepare your own food. It’s your second home. The center is your second home.
And you have to treat it as a second home. Everybody should treat center as a second home. Know, second home. At home not so happy, come here. Your your first home not so happy, come to second home.
You know? So if you’re here not so happy, go back home. You know? So most important thing is that everybody, you know, have to make in in our minds, in our mind have to make is like our own home. So that’s what I really wish that everybody should feel that way, you know?
So there’s no there’s no there’s everybody is your own disciplinarian. Everybody is your own boss. There’s no there’s no there’s no external somebody so called as a boss there. You know, everybody have to discipline ourselves using Dharma to discipline ourselves and make sure that we practice ten virtuous actions, make sure we practice Dharma and this is a place that we should, you know, use for for for that, you see. Like that.
Then let’s say what what do call? In earlier time, we put the Dharma Dharma bookshelf outside here. So sometimes people just take the book and always so we lose the books. So now the dharma shop oh, not the dharma shop. A library.
Inside there. So we will open. No. No. We will not lock.
No. We won’t lock the library. So so read inside, then after that, put the book back inside there. But if you want to borrow, of course, there’s a way system to borrow. Yeah?
Otherwise, anybody, you know, just welcome whenever there’s office hours open, you know, welcome and read any book you like. And if you feel tired, now there’s a few chairs, quite comfortable to have a you can sleep also, you know, and have a rest. So it’s quite comfortable inside. You know? So so like that.
So everybody should feel comfortable. Okay? This is your center. This is everybody’s center. It’s not belong to anybody.
It’s every belong to everybody. Not belong to particular person, to to everybody. You know? I like that. Okay?
Thank you. Thank you. Oh, one very important thing. Sorry. This is my my way.
I keep forgetting. So today, yeah, I just discover, you know, what’s it? Our current director, Eric, took actually, tomorrow his birthday. So tomorrow is his birthday. So we celebrate one day earlier.
So today, the potluck time, I think is we celebrate his birthday also. So we we everybody show our appreciation and, you know, thanks to him and his family who put so much you know like selfless effort for many many years up to here together with the full support of you know senior members. There’s many senior members here, also the newcomers, so everybody is supported. And also currently he’s the one who’s in charge of the center. So with with with the with the appreciation that we celebrate his birthday.
At the same time, anybody here forms your birthday also today or tomorrow, day after tomorrow, we also celebrate together. Then on top of that, the renovation in Ngomba, you know, even though the benefactors, they keep saying that it should be secret, they just want to do from their heart, don’t want any acknowledgement, you know. But I think it is also my my duty so to to to pray and show appreciation such as, you know, Datin Ku. Who is that? Hugh.
Datin Hu and the family. And also mister Chen and and the family. You know? They all, you know, help to transform the the the place. So that didn’t stop down there.
And miss miss Datin is there. So Datin is inside. You know? So and and also mister mister Chew mister mister Chin and Mei Zhu is also there over. So so I appreciate.
Last about about ten days ago, I was in when I was in Penang, I got chance to talk to Lama Zopa Rinpoche. So I did mention the request to make a special dedication for all of you who supported to transform the center, You know? And also we thank to all the EXCO members. They are very supportive. You know, they agree to transform it because the Gumba should be bigger, more spacious, you know?
Everybody is like so cooperative, everybody comes together. Not even one complaint. So it is wonderful and may rest of the project also hopefully happen like that. You know, when we need a sponsor, sponsors are there ready. When we need to do, the EXCO member and the rest of the members support, you know, and rejoice and feel happy to each other.
How wonderful. Naturally will develop so fast. Okay? So thank you very much. Thank you.
Oh, no. This is last. So good offering. So before we eat, we need to make food offering. So why don’t we do the offering here?
Thank you. So please enjoy the food. Thank you. Okay. So everybody sing together.
