About this talk. In this nearly three-hour retreat session, Lama Zopa Rinpoche places guru devotion—perceiving the guru as inseparable from the Buddha—at the heart of Mahāmudrā practice. He instructs systematically on four key realizations through analytic meditation, then pivots to powerful purification methods. The Thirty-Five Buddhas practice receives extensive treatment, with Rinpoche explaining that reciting each Buddha’s name purifies immense eons of negative karma—even the heaviest transgressions of killing parents or dividing the sangha. He covers related practices: self-initiation of Heruka, prostrations, and making stupas for the deceased and living. A recurring theme emphasizes that break-time practice—continuous mindfulness of emptiness during informal moments—is as essential as formal meditation. Stories of deceased students illustrate how preparation shapes rebirth. For practitioners with higher initiations.

Thinking of how you show the excellent unmistaken path to me, an unfortunate wretched being abandoned by all the Buddhas, reminds me of you, Lama. Thinking of this excellent body, highly meaningful and difficult to obtain, and wishing to take its essence with unknowing choice between gain and loss, happiness and suffering, reminds me of you, Lama. Thinking of the experience of not knowing what to do when the great fear of death suddenly descends upon me reminds me of you, Lama. Thinking of the experience of just now suddenly separating from all perfections of this life from going on alone reminds me of you, Lama. Thinking of the experience of my naked body falling into terrifying fires of hell and being unable to bear it reminds me of you, Lama.

Thinking of how the suffering of hunger and thirst without a drop of water is directly experienced in the unfortunate Preta realm reminds me of you, Lama. Thinking of how very repulsive and wretched it is to become a foolish stupid animal and what it would be like to experience it myself reminds me of you, Lama. Thinking of a refuge to protect me from this since I’m now about to fall into the wretched states of bad migration reminds me of you, Lama. Thinking of how white and black actions are experienced and of how to practice thorough and precise engagement and restraint reminds me of you, Lama. Thinking of a method to escape this prison of endless existences, the source of all suffering reminds me of you, Lama.

Thinking of the plight of my pitiful old mothers, pervasive a space, fallen amidst the fearful ocean of Samsāra and tormented there, reminds me of you, Lama. Therefore, lama, please bless me to generate my mental continuum. Effortless experience the profound three principles of the path in the two stages. Please bless me to strive in one pointed practice of three trainings with the intense thought of renunciation in order to reach the secure state of liberation. Please bless me to train in the precious supreme bodhicitta with a special attitude taking responsibility to liberate all my mothers by myself alone.

Please bless me to follow after the ocean of conquerors with the vow to cross the very end of the great ways of deeds of the conquerors’ children. Please bless me to realize a supreme view free of extremes in which emptiness and dependent arising, appearance and emptiness complement each other. Please bless me quickly to generate the experience of taking the three kayas into the path, ripening the basis of birth, death, and Bardo. Please bless me to arise as the illusory divine body itself, the play of the four joys and four emptinesses when the mind dissolves in the central channel. Please bless me to meet the ultimate lama, the bare face of my innate mind with the covering of perception of true existence and perceiving it as true removed.

Please bless me to be born with your three secrets, Lama, in the vast Dharmakāya of great bliss, which has exhausted the elaborations of two obscurations. In short, please abide inseparably in the center of my heart until the great enlightenment. Mercifully bless me, the child, to follow after you, the father. Lama, think of me. Lama, think of me.

Lama, think of me. Page thirteen, bottom. May I not arise heresy even for a second in the actions of glorious guru. May I regard whatever actions are done as pure. With this devotion, may I receive the blessings of the guru in my heart.

Magnificent and precious through guru, please abide on the lotus and mercy seat of my heart. Guide me with your great kindness, and grant me the realizations of your holy body, speech, and mind. So for those of you who weren’t aware, last night, Rinpoche began to give the oral transmission for the precious text by Khedrup Rinpoche, how to meditate in the stage of the past enlightenment, which goes from the beginning up to the section of karma. This is in this book, Heart Advice for Retreat, which everybody should have. Is on page fifty seven.

Did you all understand that? Okay. The the question pattern, the lama stuff. Haven’t done it. We haven’t done it.

Requesting prayer to the Mahāmudrā lineage lamas. So the same meditation. My body near the father’s holy body, my speech near the father’s holy speech, my mind near the father’s holy mind to quickly become inseparable. What I talked to quite a while ago, little bit long story, but I forgot one point, then I lost it. Then I went back to the one mantra.

That is why was telling the friend, old I thought I’d keep that point. Old Penn friend, Freda Bedi, you know, met Freda Bedi, met pen friend. This eight years, eight or ninety, the old friend, pen friend, in London, but we never met in all those years on a constant correspondence, never met, Never met. Quite a number of years, know, especially when we’re back and then those at school. She was after, but I never met.

Never met. So she didn’t tell me that she went to hospital. But she thought I would be upset, so then she didn’t inform me that. She went to hospital operation. That was the last thing, but she didn’t tell me.

She’s very very good hearted lady. She knew some lamas, lama or some some other that lived in Holland. I think maybe Gendun Lama. Gongla. Gongla.

Many years ago, London. Anyway, then her friend, she she has she has one friend who is also member of the Buddhist Buddhist Society in London. And that lady, the old lady is friend of Geshe Ngawang Dhargye. Gonsai Rinpoche, an incarnate lama and there was some disciple from Tibet. So Geshe Rabten was appointed as teacher to Gonsai Rinpoche, I think, in Tibet.

So for a long time, Kensur Rinpoche translated that’s how the teachings was given to Western students from So all the times they will play together or escape. Sometimes we run away. So one one Sunday, one day, it was Sunday. So this is a thing that’s house is up. So there was a representative in Dalai Lama and Buxa.

So we went down to play this to play this carrom board. This one? You know, this square thing? Not just. Trimble.

Trimble. You know, square thing. Yeah. The holes. What’s that holes?

So anyway, then Kensur Rinpoche came down. Kensur Rinpoche came down to see us. Then we run away. Run away up into through the river. You know, there’s a river coming down, went up, then we’re up there.

There’s one road. Then we send one one of the attendant to look for us to understand he was down. So we sat near the door. Sat down near the door. I didn’t know.

I didn’t know when I put the painting. Anyway, let’s see. So I had she died when I was at Buxa. So I had a dream. Somebody was giving me a letter on the way to bathroom, on the way to toilet in the corner of the house outside.

And then the next day, exactly happened. Someone gave me a letter. So the open letter, this was written by friend who was a half friend, one old lady, and said she passed away. And I think maybe in hospital or but it came back to hospital. So Hardly, yeah.

She that’s right. She came back from hospital. So she wrote the letter to me and much, much worse than before. But she didn’t there was no signature in the letter. There was only letter that she didn’t have signature, her name.

But the letter is much more shaky. So, anyway, the point is this. She has a she has a nephew or cousin. She has a lady, Other lady, you know, called you call nephew is what you call niece. Niece.

She has a niece. Also very old. Very old. Very old. They were good hearted.

Good all good very good hearted people. So that one I met was when I came to London first time. Very first time when Peter and Harvey, they arranged course. There’s a college somewhere. And they arranged nice college there to allow myself to stay.

So this at the this lady, my old friend, she only passed away quite quite some time quite a number of years ago. Also, then this her niece and husband, they’re all he’s a writer. So they came to see me. So so after some anyway, met him few times. Almost each time when I went to London.

So he he went to see Lama to talk about his practice. Then she came to see me. So like that. So what happened was, husband passed away after after some years. After a number of years, husband passed away.

So what happened was physical Sunday that time Yeah. I met her in London that time already. That center is not wasn’t the FM center. say, Lam Rim center. What’s So So so I yeah.

So I’m surrounded. Like, London center. So the chicken to me. So husband passed there and center did a very extensive puja, you know, many offerings and very extensive puja. So she was so happy.

She was so she was so touched. So that was the point I was gonna bring. But then when, you know, long story, but actually, that was the point I was bringing. That is why I say why I sent it very important to do to to to put us, you know, as as much possible, you know, should put effort to some of the past way. I mean, the, yeah, and somebody who came to the somebody who connect the center who came to the center to learn.

No? So anyway, they did extremely well. Very well. So that she was so touched. So then she told me, if I if I die, whom should I ask?

She said, if I die, whom whom should I ask? You know, she’s looking for something, you see, somebody to really have extensive offerings and, you know, to really satisfy the deceased. So she’s looking for Sam. So I think I I don’t know where I was. But when she passed, I think, Tse Pham Center did puja for her.

So that was long time ago, quite a long time ago, long passed away. So to do really set up a set of extensive offerings between the to do really, say, you know, to do, say, what you do medicine with the puja with water. You know, that many things what you can do. What purification for the present time is in English available. George and George translated.

So they so I can do in the web and in English. So students can do together. However, so even made it Guru Puja or one of Guru Puja would be good for people who had connection, the person who come in to do merit together. Or, you know, also talk is a the person especially the person has taken initiation in the past like that, brought additional vows, then tsog offering for that person purifies the samaya. So very powerful.

So it also it helps it it becomes it becomes an inspiration to the to the person who passed away their family members. Also, people, it becomes an inspiration. You know, they can see you’re caring for the person. So they make some very, very happy. You know?

So I think there are many different practice what we can do. King of the prayers, Medicine King, king of the prayers. So let me yeah. Anything can do. The other thing, those who have taken initiation and who have done research, then, of course, other thing that I want to bring up the other thing I want to bring up, one of the best thing that is self initiation.

Before we before we are talking about preparation for that, so those who have taken high initiation and have done a retreat, enabling retreat and that allows you can do self initiation. As I mentioned, one of the I think one of the days, As I said, even you of course, the best, if I can do every day, the best, so many many meditators, many practitioners, they do that. Every day, they should there’s a to do everyday a long version than possible on a time to time. Maybe in the maybe in the group as a group. But the middle version and then the short version, so all those can be done.

When Lama was passing away, I’ll read, you know, I should read for the Lama. Lama said, Danny, just mentioned, I should read the Heruka middle version of self initiation. So except I think maybe except in the hospital, but United States in the house, they’re not done. And especially daily, when I’m also in the farmhouse for us for, I think, few weeks to do something. So did that.

And in evening, the Kālacakra tsog offering to tummo a very powerful one. I think that’s so lama is it. Lama used to highly admire this practice of initiation. They’re taking they’re taking initiation. It is highly admired as well.

If this get done, you know, then, you know, then you’re complete, you know, kind of fulfilled also. You know, we highly admire the best thing to do in the in the days of the the what is it? The middle version, not the short one. The Heluga middle version. Know that.

Of course, within that, we can make short also by leaving the front generation. You can make pressing parts. You’re taking about placing parts then today, part of initiation, we lived there from the generation part, you see. Making the offerings making the offerings, you know, bringing the parts. So so this is one of if you have taken initiation, great initiation and have done a retreat, then you can this you can do every day.

And this is best on best thing that the preparation for that, you know, because each each time when you do that, you purify all the all that. You see, root falls and everything, you see. That the new comes get purified. See, everything get purified. There’s a power again like pure.

So that’s the two advantage. Not on purifying, but also make pure again, because it involves taking the vows. So I thought to bring that again. That so then they do when they die, you don’t need to worry at all. That comes that doesn’t have to be worried at all because, you know, those vices clearly pure heart.

All that you purified one time like all the dust on the mandala, but you can clean one time and all that. So that becomes supplemented. So now here, talking about self initiation. If you have done the retreat properly, you have that good incredible advantage and such a powerful preparation. We see within half hour or within, you know, depend depend I mean, when you do it, however, how you treat.

So so, you know, within an hour or even within an hour or so. Depends how you treat. So that Other than other than that, the Buddha Tathāgata Buddha is something of the you know, and then if you can do prostration with that, that’s it then. I mean, unbelievable, but it’s two things combined. One, like for Buddha by reciting the name once, purifies it many, not so much as that can purify one minute karma killing or stealing or first misconduct or tail line.

You know? That’s it will purify. You that you don’t have to experience the full suffering result is unbelievable. Just from one legged karma. But if you’re able to purify one legged karma, you don’t have experience the suffering result.

There’s a bad rapid aspect rapid aspect result of the birth on the Lord’s ear. You don’t have to repeat that? It’s it’s incredible. Because the because the suffering is the heaviest, you know. But if you have if you have toothache, if you’re envelop toothache or headache, envelop, envelop.

So and you don’t have to explain that, you know, that’s about taking some medicine or sharing some mantra or something. Yeah. You don’t have to that’s how incredible that is. Unbelievable headache. Can’t you can’t something you can’t imagine.

Then taking medicine or some doing some mantra or some meditation. How that is incredible relief because the pain is so good. So unbearable. If you use these examples first to start with, How does if you don’t if you don’t have to experience, how is it? First, thinking of the pain and that’s unbelievable.

You know? By then, you don’t have experience. But then, ten minutes or doing some practice. So that’s unbelievable. So then now you’re taking to Loserium.

You know, even one hour, you don’t have experience. That’s a little bit about question about, you know, that terrible more talk to you all this, you know, billions of years, billions of human years, Just a half hour. One hour. You don’t have to explain that. Unbelievable peace and incredible peace.

Even to cut down, even this health sovereign cut down, one hour cut down less. That’s incredible to cut down, one hour less. This is most unbearable. If you’re able to cut down shorter, one hour shorter, you know, many billions of years, but one hour shorter, it’s an incredible piece. So if you think like these details, you know, even just that, you don’t have to experience.

The rapid aspiration result of billions of years billions of human years. Then then after that, you see, when you’re born human being, those experiences result in the cause, all the problems that, you know, other people coming to you. So all that, you know, I’ll say, abuse or whatever that due to your past, they’ve come abuse others. So however, that that and then I said, yeah, experience some of the cause and then possess result to do the place of this problem with place. Then, you see, and doing the action again.

So you don’t have to when you’re born human being, you don’t have to experience. Even even one that experience a result of the cause, you don’t have to experience that. The others harm to you because of your past karma that you have harmed him. So so this is incredible. You know?

So all three, you you don’t you don’t have experience. It’s just unbelievable. So everything like these details, you know, try to get the feeling, try to understand, try to discover the feeling, you know, then you know you would how is great peace if you don’t experience. Then you then life life creating creating results from the cause to the action. Again, then bring suffering result again, again, again, again, again, cause all matter.

So you purify this one you purify this one little karma. Purify this one little karma. They they can imagine the stop experience, all these false self results. That’s unbelievable achievement. You know, that’s an incredible achievement.

Now there’s so many negative karma. We collect one we collect one day. Before I was just one, now there are so many with the body spirit mind, we’re quite new karma, completely new karma. That which is what’s produced for some also. But the motivation, see, the you say, like this, my lung muscle.

So, that is maybe anger, maybe less, but that was the thought of the dual dharma attachment to claim to the slide. This is the main motivation of life. So then everything become that should become non virtue. The motivation of virtue. So all that sort of whatever we do with that, whatever we do with that, non virtue as a result of suffering.

So they can so therefore so one day, there’s something that’s karma created with the body’s mind. Then from birth, from the birth that they saw, then they come with the birth, but come with the mind completely with the karma. Then on top of that, from beginning of birth, so many will come with that which are not finished yet experiencing, which is not purified yet. Not purified yet, not finished experiencing the result. So that means so here so here, the Tathāgata Buddha’s name, just one time.

Each one has power to purify so many, not just not just many negative karma one day to purify all those need karma that time. That is in that day. Not not that. Not just that. Able to purify this life need karma since from birth time.

That’s many that, you know, with the body’s spirit binding, it come across. You can imagine. You can imagine without thinking next without thinking of past life. Just this life from birth, you know, unimaginable. So that a recitation of this name purifies all this.

Kind of image. Every purifier, just this life need karma. All those need karma collected from birth time, which is unimaginable. Were super powerful. Just that.

You know, that that’s incredible. But now here, you see, not just hundred lifetime. In the in people past, they come up. Not just hundred lifetime. Here, it’s talking about eons, not just talking not just talking one hundred lifetime, you know, say, the one thousand lifetime, not just that.

Here, reciting its name once, it purifies many eons of negative karma. Some say two thousand, other say five thousand, six thousand negative karma, seven thousand negative karma. So eons of the comma. Eons of the comma. So we we should think of very carefully.

Eons of net karma. So that’s not easy. It’s a bit so it’s just incredible power. Incredible power. Okay.

So this it has power to purify one hundred thousand units of new karma. This particular one. Reciting this Buddha’s name and and then reciting mantra on that that was a that was on push push push push push Twenty one time on the flower, do you offer the flower on the stupa? Stūpa, then also becomes a very powerful success success, whatever wishes one has. So however so that that is that is because of their compassion to us and things.

You know, when they were bodhisattva, even before bodhisattva, before bodhicitta, compassion was degenerate for us sentient beings. They do that. All this power came from that. So the with the compassion, with the bodhicitta, they made so much prayer to be able to purify to be able to purify the as as sentient beings, the different it comes. You know?

There were so much prayer in the past, which is what Amanti explained. So because that because that that, they there were so much power to be able to purify. So sending them by the second name, they said they made power to purify immediately all those same. So therefore, when they become enlightened, they achieve the ten power. One of the qualities of Buddha is ten power.

Among the power, power of prayer. So since that since the power of prayer is achieved, then as they dedicated to Buddhist sabbath before, you see. So the name it gives the by achieving power of prayer, the name has all power, you know. You can see here, it’s not inherently existent, but it’s dependent arising can be combined with the power of prayer. And then because they each they want to become Buddha, they each turn power, one of them is power of prayer.

So therefore, then they say that’s how and their name and mentors gets all this power to able to purify the same name. So many years they come and get purified as they assign name once. So this type of the or so we are so in this life, whereas in this life, we are unbelievable fortunate, able to able to able to come to know able to come to know this method this method to, you know, just, you know, title of the practice. There’s a name. It can be unbelievable.

So so in the life story, I I didn’t see I mean, so far, I did not hear. I’m not talking about it many hundred thousand, but just so far, I did not hear. But I’m not talking about the prostration, many hundred thousand prostration by reciting Tathāgata Buddha’s name. As I asked the Mañjuśrī Buddha said. That is because if you do Tathāgata Buddha practice, you know, if you recite Tathāgata Buddha, you see, there’s practice.

If you do this, even just one time, if it is one time, it has power to purify even the very heavenly karma killed the father mother of this life and caused harm to cause blood to the Buddha and killed our heart, caused disunity among the Sanghas. So this evening, these five uninterrupted karma get purified if you do the thirty-five Buddhas even one time well. So this is what Rinpoche’s response to that question. So and there’s many lineage lamas of all the of the Lamrim who actualize complete Lamrim path. It’s a you see, know, you know, Lamrim, the daily life practice, They prostrate about some type of this name.

Like, let’s see. See. Some other teacher does even even old age, but three hundred or something. All this is that’s what that’s process. So the expression was like an animal, it’s called a fox.

I’m not sure. Fox. Maybe fox. I’m sure. Fox running.

That’s it. Or more is a maybe fox. Very fast. Does it run fast? So means I think it means I think quick, I think.

So like one more running. Maybe I can pause. Then the names here in the also So one night, I booked. One night, I booked. I I had to go there for some message, some of the questions or whatever.

They went in the in the hotel, the room. So other the other bed other side of the bed has already in bed. So hands like this. They’re laying flat to laying down. And then hands like that, you know, then also all the all the in the, let’s say, Let me put generally, what you call sleep in it.

So this side bed, other side to this side, but it has not been better. The but some type of this name with the and the skirt, you know, thick underskirt. So the in the in the the in the lot of competitions, that’s very, very important. It’s it’s daily practice. So, like, two like, two round, you know, which becomes one handed.

Anyway, since I came to this point, it’s good to not just if you get familiar to recite quickly, it’s very good because it’s it’s, you know, recite name once, it purifies many even the karma. So therefore, if you recite KUKA as if you recite, if you recite, recite, if recite, recite as many as quick possible, then that’s that’s unbelievable merit. Unbelievable. So many so in Tibetan so in Tibetan, you see, well, I mean, think it’s all depends on the individual person, but with one prostration, you can finish fifteen times, twelve times, you know, you can recite it. So if you think of, you know, so many each one is so many, even they can’t get proof.

I can imagine that. So not just slowly, the name, if possible to I mean, there are people who can’t cook then there’s different. It’s good to decide as many possible during with one If you’re counting by reciting name, one of them is straight. And then you do again, you go back and again, again like that. You’re counting on that, that’s different.

But otherwise so with one person, sat with the the Lamakil too many, many times until you put your forehead on the ground, then you change the then sound that you will see. Then like this with the EBITDA as soon as possible. So you finish then type of thing, you finish, then you could come back again. You decide again, Sam, then you come back again. When you finish, then you have done about one hundred and fifteen including the refuge, maybe one hundred and fifteen plus or more sort of time.

So this will be one side. One side or one can do even more, so two or three hundred percent. Other ones, as I mentioned, depending which one is more comfortable. So either decide all the names straight one by one or they come back in. So you count.

You count you count prostrations with the short malas, how do you count procession? Or you count the type of Buddha’s name. A certain number you want to recite. Maybe it’s a good type of So it depends on which one Main one, you see. So main one is a type of data.

Then you wanna count, recite certain number. And then each time you finish a whole set, then pass one bead. Then you and then they can decide anyways. One whole set finish, then you pass. So you can’t set a number you wanna finish, the name is at you don’t count the project, but you can’t do that.

So, say so other so it’s not commitment, but it’s very good to have some daily practice, you know, procession, top of that. Then maybe in the meantime, can do one set straight through. However, maybe twenty one or more. So that’s at the projection or sitting. So with this or second position, if you have hollow ups if you have if you have hollow ups, know, if you have hollow objects, say, to second blood, then you can do you can do what is circumambulation?

Vajrasattva, and the meditation purify. Circumambulation purifies something else. So we put many Dharma text, many such as statues on the table and many many as many as possible. Nice, not just power up, but nicely respectable setup. You know?

Or even levels like this. You know? Many of the commitments you can do, but but if you sit, they change it to fall asleep. And then also mind distracted and never meditate. So it doesn’t become very powerful, you know, married.

So if you circumambulate, you do your commitments and circumambulate. So even your mind is distracted, but still there’s so much so you create cause of enlightenment, liberation, sometimes happiness all of these lives. There’s unbelievable, unbelievable, unbelievable, merit of act of spiritual liberation. But especially if you have stupas or statues, that has to work those special mantras. There’s four special mantras.

There’s what it is called. If you went one time around, you know, if you have this mantra, dharmakaya relic, there’s a secret secret relic, dharmakaya relics. There’s four types of relics. The the other ones. The one is the relic size of mustard seed relic.

Then they relic the I think the, you know, the Buddhas, you know, Buddhist enlightened beings, hairs or robes, they got, you know, the part of holy body. Then the relic, the size of mustard seed. I think there’s a four or three. So the highest one is this mantra. This one.

So if so if you have that, then if you went even there’s only one in that stupid or stature. Then if you go around one time, it has power to purify the karma to be born in all the eight hot hells. One time going around, completely get purified. They need karma to be born in all the eight hot hells. In the Kadampa Geshe’s in the Kadampa Geshe’s thought transformation teachings, he says, you know, ten non virtuous action, end of this end of this completely karma results.

Eight major hot hell, eight major cold hell, then the six neighborhood or one after another, you experience everything. One after another, all these eighteen hells, you want to experience it. That’s just like that. From one in karma. The complete will like ten and from one of them.

So from each of them. So on whole set over here, you experience all the eighteen health, you know, over there. Eight hot, cold, and there’s six neighborhood. So all that. So I had in cyber.

So the then you see it directs it directs your life towards enlightenment from there. So that just that mantra, the first one, Dharma relic in the stupa. So I will explain in the teaching. So each then there’s a stainless beam, the stainless the stainless pinnacle, So each one has a unbelievable mind blowing, but I’m just explaining. So maybe someone can mention some of that some of the day, But do not just say, as I’m talking too telegraphically.

So yeah. The so at some time, you don’t need to keep quiet. You don’t have to be it doesn’t have to be silent. You can do your commitments or the mantras and you can do extra. So what is the second way?

So you have double as you have unbelievable for the actual well, you know, you create good karma with the body in circumambulation. So unbelievable purification of practice, you know, unprecedented. Then then you can also if that would come out of the speech, you know, it’s just tremendous. And then also you get to learn your commitment, things like that. So it’s the way it is the way to make it is the way to make the life with all this together, you know, to make it a most productive, most practical, most productive, most beneficial, you know, quite quick quick enlightenment, quick liberation enlightenment.

So, you know, to do so, but you don’t have it, you know, having to step outside somewhere. But if you have, of course, very good, but but you can can do like this in the house or, you know, mean, roundhouse in there. Can easily Nowadays nowadays, in the organization, we, say, we started many, say, place to do circumambulation. So I’d to listen to in the United States, some place in present. We started that.

So the The very first satsa the very first satsa I think it was well, the very first chakra is from Australia many years ago. Bonnie. I remember I have asked her to make a I must have asked her. I don’t know how to put. So somehow, I don’t know how she found this beautiful this incredible beautiful.

So blissful looking. This Buddha, you know, Yeah. So blissful looking. So nice. So in a good proportion.

Not skinny. You know? So nice. Blissful. Fingers, so beautiful.

You know? So nice. I don’t know how she found. So so I don’t know. I don’t know if she got the I didn’t get the mold, but the statue itself.

I think the first one I got is a medal candle candle wax from there. I got in Melbourne. So somehow, that’s the very first one. That’s the very, very first one. So now, Mould that we have now is from that one.

This beautiful Mature, so nice. You know, it’s from from that. That’s the first time I got. I don’t know how she got it. Then, I mean, still the satsa didn’t start satsa.

I got a stupa. You know, one time I went to Holland. That’s one one of the times. Quite a number of years ago. It’s more stupa.

Somebody somebody introduced to me. One student there introduced me, you know, how to make he met the he met the he met the see, this this style, you know. You put you put the mold, say, is it like this? Then you have to then you have to take it out. You you know?

So it’s a must cover. So it’s like as like it’s might be some as liberating baby from mother’s womb, I think. So you press. So then you check it out like this. So so I think I think in that instance, I went to United States.

So I met with someone at the international office at FPMT. So I met with Raisin. Already the man first, already the that time I, you know, already the benefits of man. I saw the text from Kenyon. Already, I know they say, it’s mind blowing.

It’s kind of beneficial. So I I rolled it on the stick. So the live trees. You can’t write on this. It’s a small stick.

So rolled the man. Then outside, I try to make try to put the rainbow different different color, you know, and because of paper. So looks when you put resin as transparent, so you put inside, so it doesn’t look ugly to see. Some of those stupid at some of the centers. So somehow from there started the in Holland, one guy gave me this simple stupa.

That’s from the start of the chacha. So now, many place like chacha, and I’m extremely happy that that so many people have a chance to collect merit, you know, to able to practice such a yeah. Anyway, that karma and practice transmerged. You know? So I’m not gonna go through so much details.

There’s unbelievable, unbelievable benefits making a lot this. Unbelievable merits. My it’s just mind blowing. So and also, able to make such up for people who passed away. You can make satsa for other people who are sick.

Such as long life satsas. Otherwise, yeah, we have to once you have to order Indian somewhere, then also then also doesn’t get that well, you know, with earth. That is done with earth. So that sometimes they don’t come up with it. Not perfect or not.

Not so it’s such as not only for living people, such as for people who dying. So that also also adopt after the house there every day. Yeah. Think the one who main person who does work in such a sort of workshop at the house, very beautifully set it up. Moles for those bigger stupas than even more larger stupas, moles.

You know, all the different size for this. So a few molds and then three stupas regularly that the people who passed away. Some is also about living people but people who passed away. As the names received for the keep list. But this is even there is no times when there is no name received for satsa, if you just continue, Ben, when there’s name received, it’s dedicated.

How many? Do you know how many? Twenty-one, maybe. Yeah. So it’s so having this opportunity offer, you know, so it’s incredible.

It’s unbelievable. So it’s a normal it’s a normal mentions. So even this very small, you know, small like this. Stupid or stature Buddha. So the very condensed benefit that Buddha explained to King Sanjay in India.

See, when Buddha was in India, Ajatashatru asked. There was another there was another question. The monks, they asked Buddha, you know, when people come to monasteries making the statues how to how to explain the benefits. There was there was other text, you know, then Buddha explained all that. There’s one text like that.

However, king Sanjay asked Buddha Buddha explained how how many atom it has. They’re the stupa or statue. So how many atom it had? How many lifetimes you become king? That will human freedom.

So that means if you met with all the world power, you can benefit more so much to a sentient being. Then that when how many atom it has? That many you create a cause to achieve perfect concentration for to treat with Samatha Shine. Is the perfect concentration of form and formless. So the cause of perfect concentration of form formless.

How many equal so how many equal number of atoms of that? Then how many atom it has? That mean lot that mean I said that mean a cause to achieve to achieve a a part, you know, part of where you overcome death. The going to the lesser part of when you become a heart, you overcome death, sexual death of birth. But when you enter the Mahāyāna path, when you’re a bodhisattva, when you achieve the seeing path of meditation.

When you’re on the Mahāyāna seeing path, then you’re able to overcome death. You don’t you abandon you that time you abandon completely. You have abandoned. You’re free. Completely almost the old is suffering or rebirth old is instead.

Then you have a tantra when you do try light a meaning, then you have freedom and the disturbing thought of. That ceases. Kleshas, the disturbing thoughts, cease. So like that, say, How many atom does the, you know, the system does to build such? How many atom it has?

There are many there are many cause of to achieve higher part, and the exalted path. And then there are many cause you get enlightenment. How many atom it has? This has started to there are many cause of enlightenment. So that’s the very essence.

There’s so much in the So I’ll say, Again, lost again, I lost track. So anyway, it’s very good very good to memorize. Even if you don’t know by heart, be able to memorize whichever language, you know, whichever. So so then then, this way you can recite it in the airplane, in the car, wherever you are. So, while you’re walking the road, you can decide.

While you’re walking the road, you can decide. You don’t need care about so it gives incredible freedom. So So I read some part of the long old old transmission of this about how to mental. Okay? Here are the part two.

Instruction on how to develop the spiritual realization associated with properly serving a spiritual teacher. With properly serving a special teacher. It’s okay, but not really spiritual spiritual realization depending on based based on depending on correctly correctly devoting correctly devoting, see, guru correctly devoting guru. So if you say probably properly serving, it might sound it might sound, if you are correct, might sound here, this way of saying, it might properly properly. Here, the way of the way it said here, it might sound like you have to go to the guru, where the guru is, you have to be there, everybody have to be there, cleaning, washing.

So see, everybody everybody, so if there’s if there’s one hundred thousand people in the city, so everybody have to get a small house. So it appears like that, if that it would have to be in that tiny house, working, see. It kind of gives that I’m not sure how it sounds, but I’m so it gives I think it gives kind of a more the way it says, it gives limited gives limited, you know, limited, how to say, understanding. So spiritual instructions on how to develop this spiritual realization. So the in your realm, realizations of the self enlightenment.

And is it based on or depending on the correctly devoting. So devoting in a sense, not only having devotion, but also follow. You know, do it follow, I say. Follow like following Buddha, how Buddha practiced Dharma. So footsteps Buddha.

There’s one whatever guru say. See. Not only having the person, but but the following the whatever good advises, you know, whatever good advice. Following following to that, putting the practice, you know, following to that exactly. So so that so that that that is bigger that’s bigger meaning, you know, it doesn’t give the idea where you have to be there, you know, that tiny room or tiny house, the guru is, anybody have to there.

It doesn’t give that idea. Now that I’ve instructed you on how to carry out properly the key elements involved in practicing analytic mentation, what is the first topic to which you should apply analytic mentation? And how should you apply analytic mentation to it? Analytic mentation need not to be applied to three introductory topics. The preliminary practices and so on, therefore, the practice of analytic mentation should begin with the topic of how to serve as spiritual teacher.

I don’t know about how to do it. If you if you contemplate skillfully for about seven days the benefits of serving a teacher, and for about seven days also the faults of failing failing of failing to serve a teacher. I think it’s I think the I think it gives a little bit different idea. What do you think? When so it’s it’s a so this thing it doesn’t get the idea of, you know, of the diversion following the advice, see, obtaining advice.

There’s a good that physical more limited, you know, doing some work some work there around, you see, so that gives but I think it depends on how wide you think the meaning of serving, I think. Also, the false of failing to serve a teacher. You will produce a mental transformation. The next topic is the root practice of cultivating faith, which is extremely important but also difficult to realize. Yet, no matter how many months or years it takes to complete, don’t think that’s that don’t think that it’s taking too long.

That one’s very important. Practice practice it one pointedly until you succeed in eliciting a mental transformation. Moreover, if you contemplate too many points during a single period, your practice will become reflective meditation, not analytic meditation. Therefore, during each period, contemplate just one topic. For instance, make a make a topic, Vajradhāra affirmed that our gurus are Buddhas.

The first of the four in this section, the only one you wish to verify, Then with the scripture and sharp reasoning as proved, apply yourself and contemplate this very topic for the entire period until you generate a sure understanding. Just as on the first day, cultivate this topic the next day and the next day after that, cultivate it for a month and for a second month as well. Continue practicing this way until you elicit a true experiential awareness. When an experiential awareness images emerges Switch to the next topic. After you have realized a topic, contemplate it with the reflective meditation alone.

However, don’t move on to a later topic before you have gained realization of those that precede it. The later topics cannot be realized before the earlier ones. Therefore, strive vigorously to elicit a realization of the initial topic after eliciting an experience on realization of this topic and to take to practice in a similar way, the second one, that a guru is the agent. That that a guru is the agent for all the Buddhas’ activities. After gaining a realization of that topic, go to the next one that even nowadays all Buddhas act on behalf of sentient beings.

Meditate by applying the intense analysis of scripture, reasoning, and your guru’s instructions. Just as you cultivate this topic the first day, continue doing so. The next day and then the one after that, four days, months or not four days. Four days, months, or even years. Until you succeed in eliciting the proper experience of realization, you must bring forth the realization that perceive that your guru is truly a Buddha.

And since this very topic is much more crucial than all the others, devote yourself to it with a great effort. After gaining this realization, then go to the next topic. The one that is called our perceptions are unreliable. Cultivate it by intensively applying the technique of analytic meditation. When you have practiced in this way and truly perceive that your guru embodies the actual nature of all the Buddhas and when all the Buddhas and your guru appear to merit as one, you have generated the realization that relates to serving as spiritual teacher.

Realization that relates to certain that is which is generated the realization correctly devoting, that is the generated realization of good devotion. Okay. Realization relaxation, good devotion, devoting devoting the virtuous friend. Once you have elicited the realization of the four points that comprise the root practice of cultivating faith, then also generate successive realizations of the four that comprise recalling the spiritual teacher’s kindness. You should briefly contemplate as well as the topic of pleasing your guru through action.

Could we please request the oral transmission for Thirty-Five Buddhas’ prostrations? So maybe just tomorrow. Yeah. Because there’s some some of the names, there’s some explanation. So maybe just one.

Of the benefits of the Okay. One more. The same topic once more. That is it. The preparation for death.

The best preparation for that is in this such like such this retreat here. That integrated integrated. Not not just not just just not just watching not not just practice mindfulness. You know, what are you doing? I’m eating.

I’m sitting. And I’m walking. And I’m breathing. Not just that. Let’s see.

Not even not even not even just not even just spending not even just spending the life, mind watching the mind, you know, whereas some regard as dharmakaya. No. Just spend your whole life watching the Not meditating on the ultimate nature of the mind, but conventional nature. Just spend the whole life, just the conventional conventional nature mind. Mind watching the mind.

Just that. And then we got a very very high meditation. We got it here. So very high as meant on ultimate nature. So, it’s a conventional nature.

You’re just looking at the mind, looking at the mind. You know, the issue of mind which is clear. So just watching that and I spend a whole lot in that. Thing that’s ultimate mental out of natural, what things like. So how you model that here?

As I mentioned beginning, the group practice of Guru Puja, that contains whole path of enlightenment, total total transformation and, you know, the the best part of it. The highest on the practice. They grew over that so many so many and like military power. So many who achieved enlightenment, it enabled them to achieve enlightenment clearly. So that could so that could.

So I’m practicing here. So that so I will and then doing very much, say, practice of purification. Also with the prostration, the sound type of this name, which I suggested I mentioned, how powerful it is. So that that So so again, I want to emphasize, must make sure we do packs we practice what I mentioned today. This this this this afternoon.

The meditation how everything come to mind that are the as I mentioned before, the mental emptiness. So as I mentioned in the past, and so make sure in the break in the break times when when we’re not a combined sitting meditation. So must must must remember, realize it’s also part of it. That’s it’s just the body is not sitting in the combined cushion, but it’s same when we are outside. Must must should be retreating.

So so always mindfulness. So either bodhicitta is expand or the or the the Mahāmudrā, pointing to Mahāmudrā, you know, to the six of us Naropa and the sūtra Mahāmudrā. The Gelug, Lama Tsongkhapa’s tradition, the meditation on emptiness. The sūtra Mahāmudrā is that. So if you don’t mentally or emptiness and the break and the mindfulness and the break time, then then it’s not happening.

It’s not happening to that person. So must because at home because normally at home, life is so busy. I mean, some people might be able to practice, but most of us won’t be able to practice at home. Daily life is practice mindfulness and emptiness. That is a particular emptiness continuously.

You know? So here is a special situation special special situation is met to do to do that. Special situation to maintain. So if you don’t do here, if you don’t put effort here, then not possible at home. If you can’t do here, we cannot do at home.

So this here, I want to emphasize. There’ll there’ll be more there’ll be more there’ll there’ll be more I mean, through the course, there’ll be more. Again, again, on this topic, they will come different ways to maintain. So from also society, what doesn’t put effort, practice mindfulness and as much as possible. Mind is checked, but I can bring back.

Even doesn’t do that. And then it it just only thing is the wasn’t done the essay. Maybe individually may have done. I the guru absorbing and so and see, that that just just that I can explain. But the main topic is the same emptiness.

So they will they will continuously talk will come and different ways to think, however, more and more. So not only sitting, more not only sitting meditation, but more what I want is a break time meditation. So that This is also an education for other courses. When you lead to other when you lead to retreat courses, it’s them. It’s very, very important, the mindfulness and break time.

But the session time is guided, so you follow. I did whatever you follow. But I think the break time then even in the dream, then even the dream can then everyone’s able to remember, can to practice also in the dream. I’m seeing implementation emptiness. Know, it’s so great.

You know, I can remember then to practice even the dream. So that however, this way, mind is always living in Lambert to, you know, from Tipers part in one thing. So so yeah. Certain certain days we do on particular particular just on bodhicitta, you know, explained, you know, continuously to that that they spent, you know, live. You see the breakdown.

But yeah. So this is the course. We do have more and then, you know, and mindfulness and then just all that. Protective Teal. It didn’t do the tsog.

Protect your prayer. Okay. Volume two, final section. Page twenty nine. Page twenty eight.

Page thirty four. Page thirty four. Page nineteen. And in the house of all those really benefits in this organization and who give up their life to one of the service. And then in the household, that’s in the house of everyone in this world and and the particular everyone in this world, particularly in the old leaders of this world and in the the house of all the terrorists, all the people creating so much harm, giving so much harm.

Wherever there’s in this part, where there’s so much torture and there’s so much, say, coronavirus. So so many people are getting killed. Mhmm. It was hard. Not hard there in a second.

Whichever universe world country area plays a house, wherever I am, wherever I will be. Just by that, may all the symptoms may live in this universe world that universe world country area plays a house. So at that time. And and also, due to my business of being the entire universe of all country, I replaced the house and never caused become healing that my suffering that become healing to all sentient beings. And quite in that universe of world country area plays a house, all the sicknesses image get healed.

And and also all those who have spirit harms, the spirit or the naga or those things harms. So all those who have become wild crazy that, you know, they immediately they become free from spirit harm and their most medieval life by exercise the lumbar path. It’s like but it did that. But then then those who have many depressions immediately feel the great bliss in their heart and they are most meaningful life by exercising and those who are suffering so much of relation relationship problems, maybe a house filled with again. You of compassion with each other and then so much peace and happiness and joy in their heart and and live their life only benefiting each other.

And the those who are those who are, say, suffering poverty may immediately have a wealth And those difficulties, those who got stuck or who have difficulties in business, maybe maybe immediately from those difficulties and have success, great success. And and then all over the world, they may be beneficial for other sentient beings. Beneficial for them to collect merit, to use the wealth, to collect merit for them. They’re able to use their way, offering to the Triple Gems and charity to the sentient beings. Not not to become cause of saṃsāra.

So and those who and those who would like to find guru, able to find probably qualified guru, those who want with unmistaken teaching, complete teachings, and those who want to retreat and able to find conducive place, able to and all the needs for retreat and able to receive all the realizations of the heart and heart during that retreat. So, myself being in that universal country area plays a house, may become a wish beginning to all the to all the living beings when that universal country area plays a house. Immediately, for causes to achieve their happiness, what they’re looking for. So whatever we should do to to be in immediately will succeed, but according to dharma. And may nobody experience may nobody experience a war, famine, disease, torture, poverty, sickness, and dangerous, wild, earthquakes, all these things.

So that’s happening. Imaging has stopped. To right now, wherever these things happen in a part of the world, image can start. The image can start. And exercise whole path enlightenment and and then achievement as good as possible.

So so my self to become wish feeling for all sentient beings. So like this, in all of the lifetime to be become to be to become like that. To be beneficial for something, wish one wish freedom to all something like this in all in all the lifetime. May I have the same call with me as Je Tsongkhapa has from now on in all my future lifetimes. Which appears having having a truly existing appearance While the while there’s not true acceptance on the three time merits While the three time merits do not have true existence, even even atom of that.

Empty totally empty. Where the eye appearing that it has true existence, while there’s not, while there’s no even atom of that. It is totally empty. The eyes totally empty of that. Achieve was all good about that.

Enlightenment, which which appears it has truly existent, but while it doesn’t have even a slight atom of that. And while it’s totally empty, It’s almost totally empty. Lead all the sense and then beige, which appears that that has truly written for a while. It doesn’t have a slight of atom of that, while it’s totally empty to that would result in enlightenment, which appears to us having truly existent, while it doesn’t have at all even size of atom of that while it’s empty. And then, I see, by myself alone who appears also having truly truly existent, but while it doesn’t have a size of atom of that, while it’s empty.

All of us here and in our in the house of all the organizers of the course, so the so important for doing service for this course And in the house of all the in the house of all the students, and I’ll out their lives to all of your service and and everyone’s heart in this very lifetime without delay in a second. All the projects, rest of the projects in this organization. May all whatever is intended, wish to intended to become to be actualized in everything to be actualized immediately without any obstacles. But it’s about all the needs. And the unbetter auspicious dependent arising due to my pure nature.

May all my peer peers be succeed immediately. Page thirty five. I thought I also mentioned that this Freda Bedi, this when I was at school, when she died, she died in Delhi. So she died hand like this, like a bunch of others. She died up in meditation state.

Then she died with hands like this. And then miss Oberio miss Oberio, this is where she stays normally. I think she’s student of his. So she didn’t she didn’t know about, you know, this is mental state of I mean, cannot touch. So she pulled her she she like this.

She pulled her hand, but hand, even though she pulled hands, she goes back like this. So she’s extremely devoted to her gurus and spiritual karma. I think I think that yeah. Later, there was thrown for her in I heard there are many thrones. Anyway, she’s extremely devoted to her guru.

So I think maybe because that was the key thing that of course, you know, very good hearted. I think she came to Kopan after, you know, she she’s gonna come to Kaban monastery when we when I was doing courses. She gave a talk. Yeah. I think she mentioned that deliver is a very good debate, but doesn’t have meditation or something like that.

She I think maybe she’s lived out. So I think Peter Cage and some were very upset. Very upset. I was sitting on the one. She was thinking about giving that time we used to do that.

You know, all the sanghas there. Lama used to give examination for the sanghas, give they were to give talk. But the talk is not give talks, The subject is not giving, you know, what to so they had to look everywhere, but all the subject was it wasn’t given with to talk on the subject. So to talk on that particular subject, it’s only it’s only mentioned in the Gompa when the time to to give a talk, you see. But it wasn’t mentioned before.

So the the old time in the old, say, the Gompa. So many that who were there I’ll ask them to give a talk. And those are sort of examinations. And then let her ask questions. So it’s really that.

Then then I don’t want my mother my mother. So now, of course, I was connected, but then unfortunately, was was very wonderful child, but then passed away. The parents didn’t listen to me. So after fifteen days, went to South India, Pemba Monastery. Then after fifteen days, we were playing outside, rain came.

He ran inside. He banged his head until he stepped in the outside step of the house room, the step a cement step. The corner sharp is it. The broke was caught. I think I was I guess, also don’t what they didn’t tell us before.

Then they tried to send a message after some time. They tried to send a message to mountain, but the parents can’t do anything. They’re on the mountain. They can’t do anything. After some days, the message saw the person who received a phone call in Solu Khumbu, they send the the he know that nothing they can do, so they send to my brother.

And then I was in the west somewhere. Probably or it sometime ago. But then I told him to take another the I think Bangalore. But then I came amongst the ones who want to wait for Rinpoche. As a what I said didn’t listen.

So, anyway, I’m going be upset. So the even though it was even they’re here for treatment, you know, this maybe a secretary or So anyway so so anyway, it took a many operation were done didn’t didn’t help. You know, there was problems coming to me. Probably Paul passed away. But My sister checked with the.

Also, was recognized. Besides so many stories, all the facts, there was no need argument whether it’s not or whether it’s yes. You know, it’s proved completely it’s proved completely from our side, the child. That was my all remembering, you know, all the things my mother’s time. Remembering recognize all the family members and everything.

Many things that she could remember my mother’s time. So so anyway, also recognized by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. So my search checked again. So she’s so the she’s in the Sukhāvati pure land. So that that that is no doubt.

No doubt. My mother used to recite. Told me that at Kippur when she was at last time at Kippurna, she told me that she is fifty thousand fifty thousand of one hundred thousand daily. You know, fifty thousand times. She says, now I can’t do anymore.

She said, they went to that year or next year. I don’t know. They went to India also. Sarnath but then passed away during that time. She was outside to receive his son as to say.

She could bless him and then a little in the image she passed away. But So hope hope I met her. I hope her efforts her efforts bring me up. Her efforts giving birth giving birth, you know, the same body. I hope that that I met I hope I met Ruth.

I hope I met Liberty. Little benefit, giving birth, you know, taking care in childhood time. But I left home for four or five, or five, or eight. I said four or five. So good night.

Tomorrow morning, six o’clock. Six o’clock. Tomorrow morning. And there is silence until lunch, please. Thank you.

Warawong people, leave first. Tomorrow at one o’clock there will be for those who would like to learn, hear about Dorje Ling, a discussion about it, information about it down in Buddha’s Lounge.
