About this talk. In this two-hour-twenty-minute teaching, Lama Zopa Rinpoche draws from the Golden Light Sūtra to explain why Buddha manifests in relic form. The central reasoning: when Buddha shows passing away, sentient beings recognize how rare the Tathāgata is, which awakens their commitment to preserve and practice Buddhist teachings rather than neglecting them. He details the extraordinary benefits of making offerings to relics—abandoning the eight non-freedoms, meeting enlightened guides in future lives, sustaining bodhicitta, accumulating vast merit, and swiftly transcending saṃsāra. The teaching then turns to prayer wheels, their lineage from Nāgārjuna through Padmasambhava, and their capacity to purify all beings who encounter them, from humans to insects and animals who drink water flowing through them. For practitioners with foundational Buddhist learning.

Rumshey, we have we have three lists of names.

We were reciting Medicine Buddha for them. Mhmm. Please could Rumshey dedicate for these people? Mhmm. I’ll just just read this.

It’s about Buddha’s relic. You know why Buddha manifests in relic, that relic in this world. This is from Golden Light Sūtra that Buddha has explained. From the ayah golden light, the holy king of the sūtra, the destroyer qualified gone beyond Bhagavan, the mighty shakra. Gone as it is Tathagatas took birth, born at the time of human beings in the in the world, experiencing the five aspects of the generation with a lifespan of hundred years.

In order to benefit these sentient beings who had lower faith, smaller roots of merit and devotion, and who were looking at the self as truly existent, and looking at sentient beings as truly existent, looking at life as truly existent, looking at being alive as truly existent, looking at the person as truly existent, looking at it perversely, and those who were holding the eye and mind and children, the individual and beings who believe in eternalism and the nihilism. And also for those whose religion has no foundation who has no foundational steps. Tibetan called. For those whose religion has no foundational steps, so the another way of putting it and to put this to generate the right view and quickly achieve peerless, full enlightenment. The Tathagatas, the might Shakya, showed a short lifespan of the holy body.

Also, aside from that child of the race, by the Tathagatas showing passing away into the sorrow state, sentient beings generate the recognition that the Tathagatas Buddha is rare and very difficult to meet, and they generate the recognition and so forth of sorrow and the suffering. And then these sutras taught by the Buddha, Bhagavan, will be quickly preserved and kept and read and fully understood. And also, there will be no criticism about extensively revealing them to others. Therefore, the Tathagatas has shown a short lifespan of the holy body. So due to these reasons, you know so Buddha doesn’t have death.

See? So but Buddha showed that. And see so that so that to dispel the, you know, the, say, wrong views, Those other religious people, let’s say, wrong views. And, yeah, to for that so that they will realize, you know, the how Buddha is rare, and then they will cherish the teaching of Buddha, you know, that is rare. So they yeah.

Otherwise otherwise, they won’t think it’s precious, you know, and they they were lazy on practice. So for that reason, Buddha, you know, showed impermanence, you see, that passing away. That’s why. Furthermore, if the Buddhas always abide and do not pass away into sorrowless state, sentient beings will not generate respect and will not even have awareness that the Tattakata is difficult to meet, and therefore, the wholly profound sutras taught by Tattakata will not be preserved, will not be read, will not be fully learned, and also will not be purely and extensively revealed to others. Why?

Because they because the sentient beings believes that they would destroy and qualify going beyond one. They come then in Tibetan. But Buddha always abide in this world. This is what the Buddha is For example, anyone who sees that their parents have so many jewels increasing will not have any recognition that the world is rare and wonderful. Why?

They will recognize their parents’ world as existing there all the time. Like that, if the Buddha, Bhagavan do not always pass away into the sorrow state, the recognition that they are rare and difficult to meet will not happen. Child of the race, aside from the example, when anyone who parent whose parents are poor and have no wealth goes to the palace place of the of a king or a great minister. If that person sees many stores, well, the jewels, and so forth increasing, that person has the recognition of this as being rare and difficult to find and attempts to obtain the means for seeking wealth. That person will abandon being poor and dis and will wish to achieve happiness in the world.

Child of the race like that, the Tathagatas is seen passing away into the sorrowless state to generate the the recognition that a Tathagatas is rare and difficult to meet and of sorrow and suffering. It happens on a few times in numberless eons that the Bhagawan Tathagatas descends in this world. Just as it is only possible for there to be an Udhambara flower. A few times in this world, sentient beings recognize that the that is rare and difficult to find the Buddha and generate they generate the faith in the destroyer, qualified to go beyond. Buddha and also generate the recognition to complete, preserve, and not criticize the sutras taught from the holy mouth.

Child of the race, therefore, due to this cause and condition, the Tathagatas do not abide in the world for a long time and quickly pass away. Like that, with perfect skillful men’s with perfect skillful men’s, the Tathagatas ripens completely the minds of sentient beings. Also, from the golden light sūtra and continuation of the previous explanation, the benefits of relics. So here, this is another important one to understand about the benefit of why Buddha manifested into relics. I sent him a lot karma to see.

So Buddha, so only karma, you know, not everyone have karma to see relic, but and so those who have karma to see relic then, manifesting relics for devotional object. The benefits of relics, also the activity of passing away and leaving relics in the world in other time periods, shows the skillful means of the Buddha. Sentient beings who make offerings and also who offer service to the relic should look at them as due to Tathagatas’s compassion and root of virtue. That being who makes who makes offerings and offers service to the relic will completely abandon the eight non freedoms the eight non freedoms and will meet at the ta ta. So that’s very important.

So we see by doing process and making offer service to the relic, then we are you’re you’re you see, you’re able to abandon the freedom. It means it makes it cost to achieve freedom. human body is qualified to a freedom. So that’s very, very important benefit. That’s what we need to achieve immediately.

And the life of this. And we’ll meet the Atathakata. We’ll meet Buddha. That’s another very important benefit. We’ll have a virtue we’ll have a virtuous friend, so guru.

Yeah. That’s, you know, very, very important, you know, as you understand, without that, there’s no guide to, I say, to liberation, to enlightenment. So this source of all one’s own, see, power of the past, present, future happiness, or the collection of goodness. Will then the other one is very important here. Will not give up bodhicitta.

That’s very important beneficiary of relic. So important. Without bodhicitta, then there’s no enlightenment. Can’t you can’t completely you can’t make have a, say, perfect work towards the sentient beings, we have Buddhism. We can’t do extensive work for sentient beings, can’t do perfect work towards sentient beings.

And then another next very important benefit will increase unimaginable merit. Will increase unimaginable merit. That’s a benefit. And we’ll quickly go beyond from saṃsāra. I mean, there’s no question how important that is.

Well, even though I didn’t get talk much during this course about saṃsāra, didn’t there? Subject actually didn’t happen to go through. There’s part of the subject. That’s just some introduction. So to go beyond the saṃsāra, so that’s so that’s because we don’t like suffering.

So So it’s very, very important benefit. This one of the holy deeds, and one will not get lost. One will not get lost because of bondage in saṃsāra. Therefore, you should practice precisely and without destruction. Are making or yeah.

Making offerings to the relics and often serves. So generally so this was translated from Golden Eyes Sūtra, what I put explain, and then so not another another way of making life meaningful. So this relic tour has been happening in the last, I think, about two years ago, something. I don’t know how many three years ago. So this is for people to understand.

And also it is said, in the text it is said, each time you see each time when you see Buddha’s rally, it purifies one thousand events events of this karma. That’s what is said in the one text. In the case of Buddha’s Reality, so those who have done the study, you know, path of Buddhism, you know, that other abhishamam, abhishamam, the teachings, the whole path. It tends to study or the even just the sūtra, the the down path down the path. So I can get some idea.

So how Buddha, you know, that’s a procedure, although through in the complete path complete it lies in the path of enlightenment by sea. There were in the seas that grow subtle departments, and they should took highest to be only only to benefit of us and beings. So collective collective merit collective merit for three countless three countless great eons of great eons. So first, countless great eons from from the time exercising the five path, path of merit, and the privileged path, right hand side right hand part. So until that is achieved.

So the first and the kindness the gradient, then from the first from up to the eighth, second kind of great union, then from there to ten, the third kind of great union. So Buddha, what is the name of Buddha, that many yuan, three khandas great yuan practice paramount charity, giving one’s own life to others. And then, say, once on, I say, many times born as king, and then whole family and the wealth made charity to others, including once in a while. Saliface to sentient beings, made charity to the limbs, that is, in order to benefit of us sentient beings, in order to complete path so that it can reveal the path for us sentient beings to guide us, to liberate us sentient beings from the oceans of samsari sufferings. Those who are blind of wisdom eye, not knowing what is right to practice, what’s wrong to be abandoned.

So but to show us the what’s bad and what’s good or what’s good that benefits oneself, that benefits others. What do we practice? And then wrong what harms to oneself, others, what is to be abandoned? So do not show this. By showing this, it can guide us from happiness to happiness to full enlightenment.

So so so the reality Buddha’s reality is a result is a result of having completed you know, having collected merit for three hundred years, complete the merit of wisdom, merit virtue, and complete the path, you know, method wisdom. Then it’s a two car. Then the that then manifested dialectics from that. So you can see if you think so you can see when you think like this, then the relic becomes so precious because completing the whole path is but, you know, completing the merit the collection of merit of three countless three countless There’s the great eon. So that so everything everything like that, then it becomes so so precious, unbelievable precious.

So that, you know, it’s developed, collecting merit, you see, from many, say, a hand I must say, many hundred thousand for the lifetime, but we don’t mind, you know, like merit. They complete the path complete the pattern. Let us come from that. As a result, it’s simple. Is to let for us something to collect merit to pure our mind so that that that way our mind gets softened and then then it’s possible to transform our mind to say from anger to patience, from, you know, the from self-cherishing into bodhicitta, from loving kindness to yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. From let’s see. Yeah, from anger into love and punishment.

Not like that. To to and to be able to see the truth, the real reality, ultimate reality of the phenomena, the eye, the eye, the mind. The one be a student teacher at Jain Institute for one year. That was that was original plan. But when when I was when I attended Jain Institute, he didn’t say anything.

Didn’t didn’t say anything. So I tried to ask him to stay I tried to inspire him to stay, but tell him always that there’s no Dalai Lama’s coming. He’s no Dalai Lama’s coming in Australia, this and that. It was was come you know, there was plan was coming to there was plan. So I tried to inspire to stay longer.

Then when I came back to Nepal, then he said I came back after he finished, I think he he completed the giving teaching, the liberation palm in your hand by. I think I completed that teaching there, I think. Right? Vishnu lama control. I think I think any any of any of you is not there.

Unless you are ranking it in a different part again. Maybe from the maybe there’s some maybe there may be a few who were there at that time, which is normal control. When he was a when he was a resident teacher at. I think maybe he stayed six months, I think. I think he finished the liberation palm in the hand, I think.

When I returned back from the tour from Austria to Kupan, then the the ship’s back. Then he then he told me what difficulties he had and what only the only a couple after he came back after he came back from Austria. Then then he mentioned, I think, yes, not difficult with the not difficult with the with the center. I think, difficult with, I’ll say. Translator.

Krishna Ramakanth is very smart. See? So he didn’t tell he didn’t tell me why when I was at change change. He he didn’t say anything. Just kept quiet.

One after he came back, then he did. Then he’s very smart. So anyway so During his time, the prayer wheel was met at the Chinese Institute. There was probably I think probably that was the probably that might be the very first the very first prayer wheel start it, I think, in the in the organization. Or the the couple of nuns prayer wheel start it that time.

I’m not sure. I think it may be generous in truth. Prayable, there’s small prayer wheel in the road when you go to the kitchen. I think that I think that was the first one. Peter, was it?

That was the first. Right? I think you’re there. You’re the one person over there during Geshe Lama Konchog’s. Right?

I think so. Yeah. Oh, I see. The liberation palm in your hand. Completed.

Maybe you’re in dharmakaya. Most of time, maybe you’re dharmakaya. So So I think that’s the first play will start in the f and d organization. And probably before just before the Kaban nuns play will yeah. I can love that.

So one time, even though I can many times as generation should, but there’s one time that was the time I felt something different something different, you see. The place become different. There’s there’s been change. Very very very peace very calm as a very peaceful. There’s a very peaceful feeling in the place.

I noticed very peaceful feeling. It’s not good for mind, a peaceful feeling. Noticed that. So so I tried to figure out what caused that. So I thought I assumed that I mean, sure.

No question. So I thought first, thought that Geshe Lama Konchog. Maybe Geshe Lama Konchog here. Maybe his body did that. Certainly, that’s why the place it’s very environment.

It’s very peaceful, very calm, very very very peaceful, you see. Then later, I thought, oh, I see. Oh, the prayer wheel the prayer wheel was not there before. Another prayer wheel oh, my. Then I went to Brazil.

Those my first or second time my first time to first time Brazil, I think. So when I went there, there was one lady whom I call mother whom I call mother mother. One elderly, very kind person. So she gave me a book. She gave me a book.

This book written by one student of in America. One Thagli Lama, in in early times, studied in the Nālānda. I think Sanskrit University in the Varanasi or Nālānda, the university was something I met when when Lama and myself, when we were at Dajeeling with Gina, I think at TV or something. I think maybe hepatitis in at where I lived eight years. So could not could not eat food.

When food as soon as food comes, smell food, you don’t eat something that I don’t know, the appetite is so it can be dazzling for health. And so when we’re staying with Zena for nine months in Dutchling town above, there’s two movie movie places. So one is down, one’s up. So near that, you go from there a little bit up. And there’s brother, one who was acting the foreign minister before.

He was he’s there, then he literally go up. There’s One house, one quite big house, plunged to one was in in old times, in the Maharaja. But in old time, there are many kings, I think. So upstairs, the the large building upstairs, the the head man of Zoo, you know, Zoo. So head man of in charge of the zoo, family upstairs downstairs, the our their very first student.

The Russian, say, the princess, which her father was king in the before the the revolution happened in Russia. But how but how you are very interesting, say, life that she has she had. I think maybe born in France, they lived in America, very wealthy, very high class, very wealthy life. I think maybe it was She was what? She was was it a den?

A den was there? She she was a awkward. She was a model. She was a model. Right?

You’re saying yes from dream or what? So she when she was young, she was a model. She was she was she became a model in in the in the the I think the rest of America or Europe. Right? Europe?

France. Yeah. Anyway, so she had she had all kinds of life. You know, I I say up and down there, all kinds of life. And I think almost every life.

Almost. Every life in in the West. I think almost. Yeah. So very, very interesting, I think.

So then, of course, So that was live in Greece, so many places, not all kinds of life. And the during the time of the explosion of LSD and explosion the explosion of, say, the happy life. The explosion of Buttercress. All those things. Anyway, for the let’s say.

She she saw the the she read Rama Govinda’s book, the German I think it was a professor or something, one who went to Tibet and met Tomoki Shireen, which is the previous great yogi. I don’t know how much teaching he received, but met. And so he wrote two books, and the way of the white cloud, and the other one, I Sikh, mystical and the sign. Foundations of Tibetan mysticism. Oh, Foundation of Tibetan mysticism.

So she read this, and so she was very inspired. And she can look for to meet to meet in the chilling. Of course, the great yogi, Lama Gupta school, that Lama Gupta met in Tibet or it passed a long time ago and incarnation happened in scheme in Sikkim. The incarnation happened there. They went in Sera Monastery and become Geshe, complete the study in the in Tibet and become geshe.

It was just about to return back to Tomo, where the tomb geshe mana main monastery is to return back. Everybody in in whole that area, everybody’s a very high everybody’s waiting to do celebration. You know, everybody’s preparing, you see, to receive after finishing studying in the ceremony of. So just about so finish, you know, finish the and then and then just about to come back to to jump back to Tomo. So the monastery where I become monk.

So all the benefactors monasteries at that time and that time, the Tibet was all of them. So I said, you know, taking back the mainland China, mainland China. So then didn’t happen to didn’t didn’t get to turn back to to to to to spread dharma. So I think it was imprisoned for, I think, quite a number of years. Then later, you know, I think by maybe from the monasteries through in the government, maybe the benefactors, you know, the monasteries in India.

So the request through the Indian government and then really communication with it. The international was released from prison. Then I came to Kalimbung. So that time that time, I was staying at the Gung monastery. There are two monasteries belonging to Mogeshe la Bichir.

One is you reach Dajeeling, there’s a there’s a one town called Gum. There are few monasteries. One is the old one is belong to the previous previous life, Tom Geshe-la Nepal Shet. And behind the mountain from the train station, you go outside, then there’s a there’s a mountain like this, so you go turn from train station to this way. So that’s why almost so you go this way.

There’s one monastery, then come this way to towards Darjeeling. Then down below the road, there’s one new monastery. So so this where the monks, they live and you know, who escaped from Tibet. So the way I stayed many times, long time, when I was sick like that. So she can’t receive a.

So So she came to the monastery from Tajjeli looking for a tramadism. So she met one monk met one monk who understands some English words. So this monk, I think this monk thought maybe she was my Somebody we know, somebody we knew, that friend or somebody she is the monk. The the I think might the the maybe he miss misunderstood or maybe he misunderstood. So, anyway, she came to look for communication, but but this monk called her, you know, sound of the dragon.

That’s his name. So he brought to a he brought in our he brought he brought her to us. So he opened the door and well, there’s somebody maybe somebody that you know or your friend or something like that. Then she came in touch. Tall kind of hairs kind of, you know, curly, like a curly, I’d say, a white sweater.

I think it’s sweater from Tibetan shops, I think, maybe. Anyway, so came inside and sat down. So my manager, my teacher, who took care me to that, who helped me to, you know, become monk in from a monastery, met offerings, and then brought me from public display to to Bhutan to India to Bakshat. So he he brought twenty. He brought I say he brought tea.

Big big kettle. Big kettle? Kettle? The monastery. The monastery monastery to calm ordinances, big kettle.

So then the big mug, he brought it he put it on the table, a huge mug, then fill up completely. At that day, she drink everything. She drink everything. That’s the only time she drink twenty. That’s the first time.

And after that, I don’t think she drink twenty. I don’t don’t remember seeing I don’t remember. I don’t think she drank. That was the first time, but she drank completely. So she asked a few questions.

So I was to translate my, you know, few English words, you know, that which is still broken. So I just anyway, so I tried to so Lama has been learning English. So try to translate in a few things. So most of the questions, the psychic powers and the, say, mental powers and you know, more kind of, you know, astrotrips, astrot you know, these things. Anyway, So she came every morning at nine o’clock in the so half one hour or half or something.

She bring she bring with the baby, her daughter, you know, with the the maid, Nepalese maid. So they stay in the car up there. So she come down. It’s been one hour or something like that. Ask her questions.

And after one month, then she asked to asked to come down to stay with her, you know, to to teachings. So we moved down this marriage, this so we stayed. She she stayed downstairs, a man house down there. Then there was a those mirages, they have a you know, in the garden, there’s small house with glass all the way around. Small small small small house for the I think maybe afternoons, maybe for tea, for a child, for just a pleasure, I think.

So we we were staying this between with Lama and me, there’s one table like this. Lama told me I sat there on this door. I think nine months was dead. Nine months. And she in the morning in early morning, when she comes out with her morning, what you call, gone?

Long. The morning, this long dress, gong, when you get up from bed. Gown. So when she comes with that in the morning, it looks like age seventy. Then then up at some time, she spent from nine o’clock, goes butter and She spent two hours in bathroom.

So there’s only one there’s only one bathroom, so then I have to go. We have to pass through the pass through our museum in the bathroom. All the things spread. All the things. You know?

I say, you have to go to the have to go through the museum, you know, all the museum to fix her body, to paint everything. So so the so the bathroom is at the time she had to go through that. So anyway, I then ten eleven o’clock. No. Ten ten o’clock.

Ten ten o’clock. I don’t know. Then she comes for teachings. Then she comes up. That time, then she become, like, twenty years old.

Maybe twenty five years old. Huge difference huge difference between that early morning that you early morning that you see her and, you know, then before lunch. So then spend one or two hours, then usually we hear her stories. Not so much going over text. Most of the hard stories we have, who we listen.

So then some of time, I don’t know, quite some of those questions and the about that. Then then about then about lunchtime. She goes to check lunch, then comes with the the Indian word, this thin one. The, you know, She she comes from the kitchen. She went to check for lunch.

She comes with the in the mouth, you know, Then spend a bit time then for lunchtime. Then after lunch then, there’s a lot more time to learning English. There was one man, Clive. His name is Clive from from England. He was he lived there there for a long time.

So he taught a lot of English lama. I think it’s a school teacher, I think. Dutch linguist is very foggy, very cold, foggy, always raining much of the time. So lama study English and then see, lama has shoes from Pakistan. This, you know, cut the more car the car, the what’s called the thick black rubber.

What do call? Rubber ties. Yeah. From bhakti, you see. All the monks, they were maybe the maybe not the entire lamas or some, but mostly we have this huge black the tire, you know, the tire, black rubber tire.

Huge can it can be it can it can last for many lifetimes. Quite a quite a little bit heavy. Very strong. So there’s more most most that wear they don’t don’t manage to buy shoes. Most most and they just that.

So wearing this, then it was raining, then it was a. When I walk many as I walk, how many how many miles from there to become. There’s one place where there are two Christian two Christian ladies. Their bodies are already like this. They’re old.

Already like this, but they still learn Tibetan language. They still learn Tibetan language, you know, to spread to to spread Christianity to Tibetan people. So even they bought it like this, and they were old, but still learn Tibetan, And if you could spread Christianity for the Tibetan people, you see, to spread. So can you imagine what a what a strong will. Anyway, so learn could learn English.

They know us. They know us astrology from one from one Sherpa man. Yeah. It’s called quite known person, Sherpa Nong. So he’s expert in astrology, the grammars, all this.

This is where the out of the liberation, the next incarnation will become Geshe, Pakistan. So he started Tibetan grammar, those portrait from the Shiva. He’s quite known, quite well known. So Lama went to study Learn English also. Study astrology.

You know, different astrology. So during those nine months, study very hard. So going there’s no car going on. No bus, no car, no just go and the rain walk. And so and the lama said, now he can make calendar this whole year, you know, all the details about astrologists.

That’s so So then we went back to She went for Sri Lanka. We went back to Pakistan. So the So for one year, then she wanted to leave. Then idea is to start Mahāyāna Center in Sri Lanka. So when when to Sipha, Calcutta, then from there, Delhi, then to Dhamsat.

And then I think remember, that that is the time that she took ordination. That time or after I’m not sure. Maybe that time is so I went to see to get advice to go to Sri Lanka. So as much their presence, they made it felt one made it felt I think that was that was that was the first time that was first time receiving the I received interview. Now able to meet as soon as in the in the room, in the where as soon as to, you know, meet people.

Medicine medicines before, but but it’s outside of When I when I I was at school, the the house here for six months, the house is close to close to Dhamsa. On that time, with the with the young lamas from that school and the who was the second among the among the western, you know, say the among the, I think, the western the two ordination from Tibetan lineage. Think, she’s the second one. First one is as the sister bachelor, I think I mentioned. Here, I mentioned one I think it might be mentioned here, I think.

Or maybe I don’t remember. So I think she was the first one. Then Peter Betty is she’s the second she was second person who took Tibetan Linaccius ordination. At the end of the school, I think she brought the young lamas. They are from the fourth edition brought to Dhamsara to meet to its place and to bring our art.

The drawings we did, you know, offer the showers in this. The showers in the met us outside. Then herself, another one Kagyu Lama, who now who lives in in in England, went inside to to to to talk business. But but going to Sri Lanka didn’t happen. Because they they had a bad relationship with the not good relationship between Russia and India.

So also they expected Gina as a spy of Russia. So she’s not spy, you know, but the way she behave is very used to, you know, I think it was yeah. Because that time didn’t have good connection, so I think, do that. So they believe there are of course four, five, six, maybe spies there, you know, always traveling, Always following, you know, that. So so it didn’t happen so didn’t happen to go to Sri Lanka.

So then I think the Indian government didn’t give, you know, visa or something. So that was a Lama’s idea to go to Nepal. But I was I think I was born there. Lama thought for meanwhile to go there. Then that’s when that that’s how everything started.

The couple monastery, then you see, a lot of the the very original monks. Kappan started from Lauter from. I building Kopan monastery. Was building the monastery. At the same time, Kappan, what happened.

So I think that that everything started soon up to now. So that so anyway, here here at Gina’s, what I like to but I mentioned this coming to this point. What I want to mention is that Lama sent her, I think after the first course, she when I started the second course, she was there. She came just one one afternoon. Then Lama sent to Solo Kungbu at the monastery, Gymbezi to to do long retreat.

So I think. And then Lama gave a huge number of men commitment mantras to do. I think give some teaching before she left. So, monasteries of monks and nuns. So, actually, I think one nun took care of her, who was who was a little bit English.

But then, in the summer, I spent one whole summer at Lao Du building the monastery. Well, not that that I think that’s the probably the wrongest time that maybe I spent. So whole summer. So that time, she’s time to time, she send letter, but there was no translator there to is she teaching the common tradition which is so see a similar letter time to time. For the last letter so she did Vatao Vina Rooted, and some she had incredible experiences.

Since she had incredible experiences. Many page letter she has sent me, but I could not understand, you know, some part. So her last letter yeah. I think her last letter, when Lama Master going to see that. So there was a letter from her, but there’s no signature.

So that was her last letter. So I didn’t I didn’t get to go down to meet her and to help through the summertime. Usually, she makes a painting of. So, anyway, She had she had some stomach pain, something, but before she passed away, I think she passed away, say, in the she knew she was gonna she suddenly, she knew she was gonna pass away. And I think the daughter was there.

So I think she mentioned I’m gonna die. Now I’m gonna die. So I think the daughter was there. So daughter must have cried. I think asking the mother to not die, you know, I think.

Those are the, you know, the daughter was there with her. Then I think she started to, you chant mantra or something like that. So since were sign when they have autism, it’s gender. Sitting up. There was the monk said, there was a very good sign, you know, weather and everything there when how body was committed.

So to Shi Rinpoche, didn’t Rinpoche said Rinpoche said she’s in she’s in the pure land. But you’re pure land. Then later, I checked in South India that there’s one there, Brahair Lama from settlement. He’s highly praised. He’s highly praised by not used to praise.

Usually, scold how this person, you know, made mistakes and this and that. You know? Even some high lamas, some people say there’s no Dharma. Even some very high lamas, you know, but known who is the who is never much known, which will say there’s no Dharma. And then we’ll we’ll see in the public teachings.

Perhaps public public, you know. One time, let me say, I think I mentioned to Shita during, say, during the teachings, you know, post. The one very high Sakya lama. So not not not easy to accept somebody know Dharma. So well, not easy to accept.

So the is a high place. This lama. So this lama is a inclination. All his style, you know, how he live, how he behave, everything. Great bodhisattva.

So I went to see him I went to see him to I think maybe one or two times to receive to to make some connection, to receive some teachings. But unfortunately, the receipt on the adverse is thought transmission to make some connection, but which is old age old age aspect. So the the small letters, because that or the I have some I think thought transformation text. Maybe maybe they handled the collections of thought transformation. Anyway, I personally need a bigger text, so I didn’t I didn’t find the surgical colleges.

That time, sociologists didn’t have a library where only the, say, text or the debate, you know, the the author of the sociology, the philosophy of text, this the Bengal text, which is the. That didn’t have collections of many great lamas teachings like that, you see, at that time. Somebody who’s great, great bodhisattva, this is lama. If there’s spiders or any insects in the room, you know, he never he never bothered him. You know, spiders would stay stay in the room.

They said they said let him the servant servant wants to clean. The servants want to take out clean, but he never, you know, he never want to disturb them. Just keep it to that. Let him stay there. So that so anyway, so I asked I asked where Gina, even though I heard already, you know, that we should be said in pure land, but I asked him again.

So Rinpoche said, yeah, Rinpoche said in pure pure land. Did a more it is a observation. They said she’s in pure land. So two lamas, you know, proved that. So then asked one one, the old lady I think mentioned, maybe I mentioned here or this, who I think maybe I mentioned maybe you mentioned.

The one who lived in England, one old mother who was a member from the Buddhist Society in London. She’s a member of that. She was eighty eighty years old, eighty or ninety. So she passed away. I never met.

We never met each other, but she took care of me like her son for seven years when I was at the TV. And I think milk and medicines all came from she send money to school and then I get milk and medicine from the school. Also at Pakistan, but never met her. So she passed away. So I asked this lama where she’s with enlightenment.

The lama said, now, at the moment, she’s very good. She’s in a good realm, but doesn’t last. But after that, since possibility to, you know, to reincarnate and roll in. So then now it’s where Krishna said. So that’s the end of the story.

So that’s the that’s the end of story, see. But it see. But it went round. So what I was saying before, what I was saying before? Oh, Lama Kunjo.

That’s it. So it went it went very far from Lama Kunjo. Oh, Lama Kunjo. Lama Kunjo. So so anyway, yeah, the reason to relic is that Lama Kunjo.

You know? As you have guessed, you may have seen all those pictures. Unimageable. All kinds of brush shapes, brush colors. You know?

So many coming. I wasn’t there, but I saw the the video. It is a normally, it is known that, you know, that, you know, that he the way he talk, you know, the emptiness and so forth. That that that he has that he has a realization. You know, normally when he talks, one expresses the meditation it being near I mean, normally, the realization.

See? Things see. And because because of that because of that, whatever he does, pujas, prayers, whatever he does has great effect power. When he was in the mountain, many people who have become crazy, possessed by spirits, were able to heal him, liberate him from spirit harms. That there are many other lamas there, but they could not help.

And at the last, they come to Geshe Lama Konchog. So, say, with the power of his, you know, number of those experiences, so this is something that that all these teachings were were dynamic, were very effective, you know, from from my own experience with that. And there’s so so many different things Whereas a way of healing whereas a way of healing methods and, you know, and also able to help, you know, if you want to check astrologically something, personal past or whatever, the marriage marriage or all these different things astrologically. You want to check, you know, better, good, all these stars or all the different things. Also, familiarity.

So many who also know many things, not just a lump sum. You know, they I say, I explained, but knew many so many other things that can help. So many ways can help other people who have problems. So I taught the religion the religion dance to the monastery, a couple of monastery I’ve been doing for the last few years. So I taught everything and met all the customs, everything, and he guided.

And so also, by giving teachings in Singapore, hum Kong, Taiwan. They also helped the couple. Yes. He was also a benefactor in building the couple monastery. That’s so many ways, not only giving teaching initiation towards students as well as the great support for the nuns, k, giving them teaching and the guidance and building the nunnery.

So really even though quite a number of years, you know, lived upon, but didn’t have didn’t have knowledge that’s great, you know, yogi, somebody, you know, who has a attendant. He doesn’t talk. He doesn’t he doesn’t doesn’t go deep, you see. They they tell stories. He tell stories, but just as more common things.

So the five five different color relic happens. So then it’s very unusual. But, normally, you don’t hear or you don’t see. So well, we had they had to be Nyamaba, lama called who lives South India. He it happened he was giving teaching in Bauda in one of the Kaiju monastery near Stūpa.

So he heard about the relics. So he told the he told to his two students during the teaching that this that this is sign what they haven’t had to become relic, that means having achieved, you know, achieved five wisdom, Buddha Buddha’s five wisdom. So this is wisdom or the wisdom of accomplishment and the wisdom, the sphere of the existence, Dharma tattoo. And so the so he mentioned during the teaching to public. So this is sign of that.

So anyway, that so he’s he told he told us told me that he he did two thousand two thousand units. So counting all the units that he did in his life, counting everything. I think it was two thousand. I saw that. And then did did a retreat even after he left from Tibet.

And he lived he lived in Sung. It’s very remote area. Closed border of Tibet, very close. So there are many other escapes. So Tsum is a place where is from.

So so his his family, his brother, His family seems very strong connection with the Geshe Lama Konchog some of the benefit or whatever. Seems very, you know, very strong connection. So anyway, so did retreat many haematages. They have there. So what what what really impressed me for myself was not so much that not really.

I mean, these relics, of course, they’re very precious because, you see, so many lifetime you practice, you know, living modality, quite quite admirate and develop mind. You see, that’s what you’re life to life. From life to life, you see. Higher and higher like this. So after attaining those after attaining, I said, the the completion part on the basis of the present path, good version, and the two stage of Tamra.

So achieving those very high, the completion part, you see. The clear light, illusive bodies of the it is said in the it is said in the text that those who achieve clear light realization, then we see the relics come from, say, the holy body. As mentioned, one source like that. So, however, from so many lifetime, practiced and developed mind to see, practiced. So this is so it’s a it’s a having a cheap way of high path.

So this is a result from that. So you can see how it is so precious. You know, can production is a production from the realizations. They were having this part, which is that. Then, of course, when you think all that part, of course, then, of course, you get the faith in the relic and the relic is so precious, the production of the realization of the person.

But what but what impressed me? What impressed me most was that most was really good. When I heard the story that that he was in one heritage, There’s a, I think, sort of cable. So there’s no door there’s no door window. The pile up is in the front of the pile up rocks like that.

You know? So he lived there for I don’t know how many years. So one day the people one day the from village, the ship people were looking at the animals, they come up. So they saw somebody there, who have a long hair, you know. So the hair become very long.

So just meditating. So so got frightened that they they didn’t expect that there was somebody living there. They got frightened. So then they they threw stone to the to the the cave, to the hamitage. They threw out storms.

Then I think some of case, I’m going to left from there. And then I think two years lived under one tree without without house. Did did did mentation and and under one tree after that two years. Did he spend without home, without, you know, without as a house, I mean, or see, care or anything. So that’s so that’s what what impress me most than the than the than the relic.

Of course, after of course, after that much hardship in a practice Dharma, of course, they have a relic for sure. But that hardship hardship, you know, hardship I mean, that he say, you know, be as a that that he say, you know, voluntarily. I mean, of course, you can go in the you can go in the village, leave people’s house, of course. You know? Or they even ask the people to build.

Can ask many villages, you know, to build up. Surely, give donations. However, spent two years without without any house and the tree in the back. So this what made most what impressed me most was the being hardship to the Prakashtarma. So So anyway.

So Lambert thought that is why Islam is going to have so much in reality. He thought that maybe to support material project because Geshe Lama Konchog was very worried. You see, nothing I mean, nothing we were out. I mean, the work has been done for many years. So, you know, I think so far, eighty million dollar, you know, spent.

Work has been done for work. You know, progression has been work has been done for many, many years. So many research and so many things. Even though there’s nothing built there on the land, but the work has been done, you see, yeah, for a long time, you see. So he always he always used to tell me his worries because he takes it.

Because he even though, you know, he wasn’t asked to do something, but because, you know, because of connection. So he feel responsible. You know, he feel he feel like on you know, you know, like, I say, yeah, he felt responsible. So he’s worried. Always he expressed worry about the project.

So so the it seems he also expressed two things so far. Also, yeah, that I think he wants to see the material project, you know, starts being built. So he that he didn’t get done some service or something for for a material project. It was since he expressed in some kind of sad or some disappointment. So I’m going to talk.

So they were on the topic. Yeah. This is Alex. He did he’s purposely did this for, you know, to help with the project. So then that’s anyway so anyway so to finish up to finish up the story, to finish up to what you call to to finish up this story.

So so when when I went to Brazil, this this this lady gave this book, a store a close close one of the, I think, main student of who built the prayer wheels in in United States. So here are this book about that, about the work that I did, you see. He’s quite he’s Something unimaginable. Lama something. We met him at the ceiling just one afternoon.

So already he was late that time. Already hit. He become lay also in that time. It seems he gave teachings in United States. Earlier times, he gave quite a bit of teachings.

Not exactly Tumbarendra but a little bit like that. But in the early times, it seems quite a bit of teaching is giving. But since that then since you never hear giving teaching, quite unimaginable as lama, but who does who engages in the unimaginable merits of the time. So in the United States, the one area I don’t know I don’t know which Maybe in maybe in California, one earlier. You know, nothing around for my you know, for there’s a empty mountain, just nothing around.

So somebody had one spot, and he has built a copper temple, a temple made of copper and a piece of gold, flat piece of gold stupa. You know, pieces of gold, flat stupa. Maybe two to three stories to it. And the on these pieces are empty. It’s all a mantra.

Nothing’s wasted. Even these pieces, it’s a mantra. Unbelievable. He met all these incredible design, the whole temple. And then the water, you know, water, see all the through, all square.

Like, people are Taj Mahal, India. Taj Mahal, water like this. All square. Quite a number of stupas. A huge temple.

So amazing. Just tell Well, there’s nothing for an empty. You see all the money. Suddenly that so it wasn’t open to public. You know, very special.

I don’t know what is not open to public, but only recently. Open public open public only certain times in the year thing. So anyway, so one time I went one student from vajrapani, Steve was monk before in the in the in the old times with a lot of, you know, was a monk. So he takes this small flight that goes around to take picture of buildings, things. But that’s his job.

So so one later, I went down, and I took a scarf. So from the from the airplane to offer scarf on the stupa. That was the idea. But because, of course, I went late, it become almost becoming became dark down down there. So you can see, you know, down there from this cloud, you see, but didn’t happen to drop the stupa.

Didn’t happen to drop the scarf, drop the scarf to the stupa. So so this lady went there somehow. She she spent I don’t know how many years. She spent at least one year, and she rolled mentees rolled mentor. So there are quite a number of students who does work very hard, roll mentor, prepare wills, you know, stupas and so forth.

But they they never see him. The interesting very interesting thing is they never see this lady never saw even though she do work for one year, theirror mentor did have work, but never saw him. So anyway, this the one of the this main student, he wrote book about the work, you know, making prayer. So it’s there in the book I opened. I read the whole thing, but I saw the other section, which is he said, after the prayer wheel was built on the land, then the whole place becomes so peaceful.

You know? Becomes so peaceful. It that student who is the head of the one of the head of the talking to us, one of the essay doing the work. He expressed that. So when I so when I saw that so when I saw that, then it’s completely proved what I thought at the general syndrome.

And it end, you see, after some time, I thought, oh, before there was no prayer, now there’s prayer, must be this. So it’s completely proved what I thought and the there’s also this, you know, these people, this student, what he felt after having built prayer wheel down the land. As as it has a benefit, mind blowing benefit that the let’s say, having built travel on the land, then all the all the sentient beings live in the area on the on the ground. So they they need come get purified. They’re just blessing.

They need come get purified. They get higher blood. So place the place the ground, which is the benefit to all the those sentient beings. Then similar the prayer wheel in solo combos, Namjipasal, that I think maybe over two three three travels, I think maybe two or something. The water travels.

So the water the water stream, see, comes this, then put, you know, a tree. You cut cut cut you cut the tree half then, like a hollow thing, the water runs down. So prayer wheel is upstairs, but it is inside this light tree, the the what goes inside the prayer wheel. So the bottom the bottom part is down downstairs. So that has this what’s called the what’s the name?

The that has this wheel. So we have no wheel. I’m Paddle. So the water that come down, it hits to the paddle. What’s that?

Paddle. So so the water comes down, it hits, and it it then it makes turn. So in the then the prayer wheel upstairs, then it turns, you see. So the prayer the water doesn’t touch the prayer wheel, but touch the the live the live tree, see what comes through the prayer down there. So it touch to that.

So that’s part of the prayer we see. It touch to that. So now all the water get blessed. And all the sentient beings who are living in the water, who drink their water, all in a way of the water goes, all the simple things they need come and get purified and they get higher. But so anyone who drink, you see people and all the insects living that what’s sort of the animals who drink the water.

So when the prayer wheel end it, there’ll I say fire, the prayer wheel look at it. So the monastery down below to one old monk, He was a lay he was a lay person. They were already old when they come from Tibet, escaped from Tibet. Then his wife become a nun, and he become they were already quite old. She become nun, he become monk, And he become this monastery, this great lama, this great who is said by that incarnation of one of the.

So he at his monastery. So they become they live there. So this old this old man, he who become monk. So he he did one hundred. He did in Loudoun in the cave.

Also, at at the same time, you know, he was caretaker of the cave, and then also he did one hand. Yeah. So he met he already passed away. So he met a wind on the roof of the temple monastery, all lined up on the top of this. What do call?

Yeah. The wind wind hit, then it turns. So it turns the plane, what I say. So metal on the roof. The the prayer wheel inspiration come from the Geshe Lama Konchog.

How I got how I the how I got interest in prayer wheel come from the Geshe Lama Konchog. He told me that there’s a text that was has incredible benefits about. He mentioned that. He mentioned few few few benefits. You know, he has a very highly, very important.

It talks about the prayer. The prayer wheel the benefit you see. So I so I didn’t I didn’t see this text. I didn’t see text for text for a long time. So I asked British engineer purchase.

I must they they didn’t see the text in the term of the benefits. So the so in the part in Solo Kumbosu when I was there, so many many old people, they carry prayer wheel when they’re traveling. And they when they travel, they go with prayer wheel and constantly beside mantra, which is which is unbelievable fortunate. Each time you recite, you see, it plants you to enlightenment and you’re guided Incredible purification, you’re always you’re guided by Chenrezig in all the lifetimes. So fortunate those old people, even they have no any intellect intellectual understand any any intellect to the meaning of dharma, understanding meaning of dharma, even they have no intellect at all, but unbelievable faith, devotion, and they always make their life meaningful even while they’re traveling, walking by chanting mantra and the turning power.

So they are so fortunate. This great devotion they have makes their life makes their life, you know, everyday life like gold, from iron into gold. I think, you know, creates so much constant, incredible, unbelievable period. So I usually think I used to think. My mother turns pale all the time.

So that time I used to think, does it become dharma? And turning pale, you turn like this. How does it become dharma? So I used to think that. I didn’t have a didn’t have understanding.

So I didn’t have, you know, didn’t have a didn’t have an understanding. So there’s no, say, particular Faith, you know, turn the play world. So then one day, the text, the louder text, the cave is very humid. Now, there’s so much humid, wet, I say, so much humidity, so the text had there to dry outside again and again. So I I used to dry time time.

So there’s one old text called Mani Kabum. That’s one and thousand teachings of money. Not not not a money, you know. Not not not not money. Money money being more money.

So the so I saw two, three lines there talking about the parable. This is Songtsen Gampo, the you know, who is embodiment of jealousy. The Dharma king of Tibet, It’s a beginning to talk about evolution of the world, then about Buddha. The main the main subject, how jealous happened connection to Tibetan people, how, you know, jealous happened to that. And then talks about benefits of money.

So much of that, much of the taxes. With the amount, with the amount of payment, how you can do so many various types of or various sickness, how you can heal and many many other difficulties that are the sending in you know, have how you can, you see, you know, to to help to stop. So so there’s so there’s a truth in lines. Also, I think see. I think the Nāgārjuna see.

Nāgārjuna was told by jealousy or something that being part of the member. Exactly. However, the the the there’s a prayer wheel in Naga in a in a Naga children that I think Chinese, not that particular aspect of mothers, advised to go there and get this, which is incredible, unbelievable benefit to. And then from Nāgārjuna, then I think the I think landfest agonism then to a Padmasambhava. Padmasambhava then spread into that.

And there’s something something like that. Then it then they talked about the when you’re turning the prayer wheel, then visualize the five different color beams image from the from the mantra, then purified the sentient being sentient being there. Yes. I think it said that five, the delusions of something. And then achieved five wisdom within the from that to visualize that this by seeing this, then I then I got the faith in the practice of prayer.

When Buddhist as a lineage mentioned and then how to meditate, you see. So that okay. So Geshe Lama Konchog mentioned that is the incredible benefit it has. So when he came back mostly, he’s told me that Geshe Rinpoche has these texts. So when I came to so when I so keep in mind, as as soon as as soon as I arrive in Australia, first thing is to ask us to, you know, to to borrow this text.

So I came in Sydney. So I was staying Moon’s house here. I did did retreat, stayed two times at the Moon’s house in Sydney. It’s like it’s like a heritage house. Even though in the city, at the house, you don’t hear anything.

So it’s like a heritage. So then I asked I called Catherine Chen then asked him, so he said, he’s good hearted climber. So he immediately borrowed the text. So I read, then that on the put in the head and said, I will spread this practice over the world. So so then from there then from there, they practiced the prayer wall, you know, starts.

So the first one was Kopan nunnery prayer wall. They’ll tell us, I think, this is the first one there. I said, I want to build this first before the nunnery and the anyway. So that’s the first. Then after that, happened so many after the benefit is known then, Also, some are asked to build and then some by the students build by knowing the benefits and by hearing the benefits of that.

So and then happened. One one I was couple on the quite a number of years. It was a one couple from United States. One who wrote a book on the benefit of pay was put together. So I came from Bauda.

That was more playable they bought. So I told some benefits of it. Then they were so inspired. They went back to United they went back to United States. They they been living in Washington.

So then they met prayer wheel. Then they met the beginning, they offered so many people. I think there is a symbol in a two piece of wood. And four four pillars, then they put some sheet around. Not very some little bit.

But here, there’s a micro fish. So there’s a many number. So they get at the beginning, they get, you know, they get free. They get many people, so they can be one. So my one, I offered to the Naples King.

When I went to see Naples King, brought a few things, carpet and a few things. But the king asked me, do I need to keep this? He said, I said, yes. Then then I explained, but there’s so many so many benefits to explain. Listen.

So near the end. So so I remember this to tell him this. When you have if you have the prayer wheel at the when if you have the prayer wheel you know, if you have the prayer wall when you die, you get a prayer wall next to your head, you see. Then then your your conscience every time is fair in the pure land. So I told the king and when I told when I mentioned about death, then then I felt king was quite far, quite distant.

Even though physically, he was staying there, but I felt you went far quite far. So as so now, you know, whole family were killed. So k. That’s about the relic? Oh, already gone.

Time time is over gone. Yeah. So we do the Maybe if if go to If you need to go to the bathroom, just a short pee pee break.
