About this talk. In this 12-minute closing session of his 1998 series on Seven Point Mind Training, Khensur Rinpoche drives home the urgency of practice with a striking image: the person who filled their plate with all their favourite dishes but died without eating a single bite. Students, he warns, must not repeat that mistake with the rare opportunity they now possess. He reflects on what separates a good future from a wasted one — not circumstances but the sincerity and intensity of practice undertaken right now, free from laziness and mental wandering. The session ends with formal dedications praying for the Dalai Lama’s long life, the worldwide flourishing of Mahāyāna teaching, and peace for all beings.

It’s like no. We I mean, our our our we we are having a very meaningful life in our, and our life is very, very supreme and like, there are only, there are kind of lifestyle, I mean, I remember she says that in this world there are very few people who have this, who has this kind of life we are having at the moment and so I mean there are very few that practice Dharma, they get a chance to do this kind of things. So we are very fortunate to be in and at the moment our lifestyle or our position is in this statement which is perfect. And so our goodness in future is entirely depends on us at the moment like this time, our practice. So if you do very sincere and good meditation very intensively properly, then it’s definite that we will have a fruit in future and our future will be fine.

And And if you don’t want a good future, I mean goodness or a good in future and then, or like, yeah yeah if you do a good practice then the future is definite, the future will be good one. Or if you don’t do your practice properly like through like laziness or like mental agitation or like wandering then it’s up to you. The future won’t be good. So it’s up to you. And then My heroes.

No. No. I will pray for the success of your people in your practice and I also request you not to do like a person who has that the first person who went in delicious food have taken his oh, like, recognized his favorite dishes and put it on his plate but died without eating. So never be like this and I will pray for your success and your prayers not to happen this, you on your time not to be like that that kind of person. Okay.

Alright. Stop here. Yeah. So I feel very rejoice to have this opportunity to come here and being able to teach about teach teach this, the essence, the bodhisattva about about the mind training or bodhisattva, which is the essence of the gist of Buddhist Mahāyāna teaching and and and I’ve been very very fortunate to get this opportunity to teach you this particular topic in a short period. And you, or you people are also very And you are very fortunate as well to get a chance to receive this very immaculate or holy teaching in within this short period.

So we are all very fortunate to get this this chance. So, the both of us were fortunate to get this time and and we have practiced very, been able to do practice very intensively. So we should, finally we should make a dedication here but through the power of practice I’ve done up, through the power of my practice here and may this Buddhist teaching will flourish in this world and then through the power of my practice, lamas, His Holiness, the Dalai Lama and including our great masters to have long life and teach in this world for for a long period. And then wishes that they won’t like like no famine in this world and no wars and have peace and happiness in this world and then also pray that the practitioner of this Mahāyāna or this teaching will be increased in numbers or be filled, the world is being filled with the practitioners and and also pray that if I’m not able to to become a Buddha or achieve bodhicitta in this time, may I achieve and be enlightened in next life for the sake of all sentient beings, so make this kind of dedication.

So I hope you people are very, very I mean, will rejoice this kind of opportunity and we’re happy to do this practice and we on our part, we too are very happy to get this chance to come here and spend time with you. So I feel very happy as well. Alright. Thank you. Yeah.

I’ll take care of a good lunch.
