About this talk. In this 15-minute session, Kyabje Rinpoche guides practitioners through the blessing transmission in a Mañjuśrī empowerment, following the vow-taking. He explains how mantra recitation develops wisdom, emphasizing that Mañjuśrī’s mantra is short enough to practice anywhere—while walking, working, or sitting. The ritual unfolds in stages: practitioners cast flowers three times as offerings while reciting a sacred word, visualising blessings dissolving into them and perfecting their body, speech, and mind. The teaching clarifies what it means to honor the commitments made: act with altruism, abandon actions rooted in attachment or anger, cultivate love and compassion toward all beings, avoid causing harm, and maintain harmony within the Dharma community. The session closes with a mandala offering of gratitude.

Describe the amount, there’s no such amount. As much as you feel able to. It’s because we haven’t recited this mantra that up to now that our wisdom is still very limited. We haven’t really developed our wisdom. So the more that we are able to recite the mantra to that same degree our wisdom is going to develop more and more.
It’s quite a handy mantra because it’s very short. You can say it when you’re doing work, when you’re walking around. It’s quite easy to say. So as much as you’re able to say, you develop that much more wisdom so there’s a great deal of profit to begin. So we’ve completed the transmission of the recitation of the mantra.
We’ve completed the transmission of the commitment. That is how many times we were going to say it each day, and now we’re going to begin the transmission of the blessing. So as we’re with the ritual, we’re going to toss these flowers that you’ve been given, and these So the reason the casting of these flowers offering these flowers is is in request to that receive the blessings that that you know, this this poor quality body, speech, and mind that I now possess. You know, please grant us your blessing and therefore, I might develop an excellent body, an excellent mind. So there are we’re going to recite two words.
Recite the sacred word and you cast these flowers. You did the. And we’re going to do three times. So in response to having made this request and offered this flower to the to the Mañjuśrī, and the the the Mañjuśrī now is going to toss blessings which dissolve into you. And that you imagine that through the power of this blessing that one one gains an excellent body, speech, and mind.
So in order to to receive the blessings, we must guard our words of honor. And these words of honor we mean to not acting out of oneself attachment or acting out of anger towards others. So this entails acting with altruism towards sentient beings, not harming them, developing love and compassion. Helping sentient beings whenever you can. They’re poor, if they need food, giving them food, practicing generosity, practicing patience, not harming others, not to act out of negative actions of body, body, speech, mind.
And we should try to make effort at act speaking to act in harmony, creating a harmonious atmosphere with our Dharma brothers and sisters that we need to develop, take joy together to, you know, to help liking one another. So it’s all of these. Essentially it is to not harm others, to try to as much as possible to do a bit of love towards them. Out of appreciation, out of thanks for having received it, out of the kindness that we’ve been given this permission, we offer a final mandala.
